Ant-Man 4 Talks Have Already Begun at Marvel Studios

May 4, 2023

As we all have now accepted, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will still be here long after we have all returned to the dust, and it seems the journey of Ant-Man is no different, as talks of a fourth outing have already begun. Speaking with ComicBook.com at the recent premiere of the upcoming sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Marvel producer Stephen Broussard revealed that the wheels of Ant-Man 4 have already begun to turn.

“We’re already thinking about it. It’s like, every movie’s its own battle and you bear the scars of making it and wanting to make it great. But hope springs eternal and you start to put yourself back together after the journey of making the movie. You’re like, ‘Yeah, what if we did X and what if we did Y?’ Like the wheels start turning, you can’t help yourself. I don’t want to say anything about specifically what those are, but yeah, you can’t help yourself. Those conversations, those whispers have already started to happen between myself and Peyton and Kevin.”

Of course, we have yet to see what will occur in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, making it difficult to speculate on what might happen in a fourth installment. However, with Scott Lang’s daughter, Cassie, all set to take on a more prominent role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, we can surely expect that she will come into her own as a superhero and perhaps even lead the franchise going forward.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Lands in Theaters Next Week

While talk of a fourth outing for Scott Lang has already begun (provided he survives the events of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, of course), audiences still have the third outing to look forward to. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania finds superhero partners Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne returning to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together with Hope’s parents Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures, and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.

Directed by Peyton Reed from a screenplay by Jeff Loveness, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, aka Wasp, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, and Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang, as well as David Dastmalchian, William Jackson Harper, Katy O’Brian, Bill Murray, Randall Park, and Corey Stoll.

The first reactions to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania have now emerged, and while the Marvel outing has been met with some criticisms, including its lack of humor and pacing issues, the threequel has also been compared to Star Wars as well as reportedly introducing the greatest supervillain the MCU has ever seen in Kang the Conqueror.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is scheduled to be released on Feb. 17 as the MCU’s first film of Phase Five.
