Her six Emmy Awards, Mark Twain Award, Presidential Medal of Freedom, and many more awards only hint at her legendary career, from her groundbreaking comedy work in television beginning 60 years ago on The Gary Moore Show to her recent appearance on the critically acclaimed Breaking Bad spin-off, Better Call Saul.

While this would seem like overkill for most celebrities and performers, Burnett truly deserves it. Her 11-year run on The Carol Burnett Show introduced viewers to a wacky and delightful vaudeville-style comedy variety show that would go down in the history books. A pioneering woman in the industry, Burnett followed this with film roles in The Front Page, Annie, Noises Off, The Four Seasons, and many more, along with her Emmy-winning guest appearance on Mad About You.
Recently, Burnett exceeded herself yet again in the gritty sixth season of Better Call Saul, playing Marion, a darkly comic character in the tense present-day moments of the series. Marion’s role in Gene’s downfall and the rest of the season was one of the highlights for many fans.
You can learn more about Burnett’s fabulous career and get some wonderful behind-the-scenes tidbits by tuning into Celebrating Carol: The Gift of Laughter at 7:00 pm ET on The Carol Burnett Show Channel and Shout! Factory TV. You can check out a trailer below:
