Samuel L. Jackson and Boyd Holbrook Set to Star in Death Row Drama LAST MEALS — GeekTyrant

May 20, 2023

Samuel L. Jackson (Secret Invasion, Jurassic Park) and Boyd Holbrook (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Narcos) are set to star in an upcoming death row drama titled Last Meals. Jackson will play Walter in the movie, “a disgraced White House chef who finds himself many years later working in a maximum-security prison cooking last meals for inmates on death row.” Holbrook will take on the role of Reed, “the inmate who embarks on a hunger strike on Walter’s watch.”In the story, “the two men form an unlikely bond which gives Walter a look into the soul of a man who is willing to forgo his last pleasurable experience in order to protest his innocence.”The movie will be directed by Andrew Levitas, who previously worked on films such as Minimata starring Johnny Depp and Lullaby with Garrett Hedlund and Amy Adams. The script for the movie was written by Justin Piasecki. This sounds like an interesting story that will make a solid film, especially with the talent that’s involved. This project was supposed to go into production a couple of years ago with Delroy Lindo attached to star, but when the pandemic hit it stalled. Source: Deadline
