Lee Pace & Jared Harris Return For Apple’s Epic Sci-Fi Series

Jun 13, 2023

Can humanity survive an ever-changing landscape? The Apple TV+ series “Foundation” returns with a bold new vision, taking place a century after the Season One finale. Since then, a religious phase has prompted a wave of changes — some more destructive than others. It’s an admittedly difficult task to adapt the complex Isaac Asimov novels, yet David S. Goyer and Josh Friedman appear to have cracked the code with their attempt. The series’ official season two synopsis:
More than a century after the season one finale, tension mounts throughout the galaxy in “Foundation” season two. As the Cleons unravel, a vengeful queen plots to destroy the Empire from within. Hari, Gaal, and Salvor discover a colony of Mentalics with psionic abilities that threaten to alter psychohistory itself. The Foundation has entered its religious phase, promulgating the Church of Seldon throughout the Outer Reach and inciting the Second Crisis: war with Empire. The monumental adaptation of “Foundation” chronicles the stories of four crucial individuals transcending space and time as they overcome deadly crises, shifting loyalties, and complicated relationships that will ultimately determine the fate of humanity.
An epic story continues on “Foundation.” The series’ season premiere comes to Apple TV+ on July 14, and subsequent episodes debut each Friday until September 15. Watch the new trailer below.
