Unlike many other franchises in popular media, the “John Wick” film franchise keeps growing in popularity. This year, we saw the fourth film, “John Wick: Chapter 4” outgross the first three films by a large margin and earn critical acclaim in the process. Now, Lionsgate is testing the waters to see if ‘Wick’ can work on TV with the upcoming series, “The Continental.”

With “The Continental” arriving this fall, Peacock has released a slew of new images to show the various characters who occupy this “John Wick” spinoff series. The three-part series goes back to 1970s New York City where we meet a young Winston Scott as he rises in power during the creation of The Continental Hotel, which is a haven for all of the world’s best assassins. 
The cast for the series includes Mel Gibson, Colin Woodell, Mishel Prada, Ben Robson, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Nhung Kate, Jessica Allain, Ayomide Adegun, Jeremy Bobb, and Peter Greene. Albert Hughes is the director of Episodes 1 and 3, while Charlotte Brandstrom directs Episode 2. 
“The Continental” is set to debut on Peacock in September. You can see all of the first-look images below.
Here’s the synopsis:
The three-part event will explore the origin behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins centerpiece of the John Wick universe through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott, as he’s dragged into the Hell-scape of 1970’s New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind.  Winston charts a deadly course through the hotel’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the hotel where he will eventually take his future throne.
