Jennifer Lawrence Is “Totally Open” To The Possibility Of A TV Series In The Future
Jun 21, 2023
Jennifer Lawrence is at the place in her career where she can do, basically, whatever project she wants. Whether it’s an indie drama that she produces, such as “Causeway,” or a raunch R-rated comedy like “No Hard Feelings,” Lawrence is really able to flex whatever acting muscles she wants. And apparently, that’s not limited to the world of film.

Speaking in a new Interview Magazine chat with Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lawrence talked about the possibility of her eventually starring in a TV series at some point. The actress explained that she isn’t resistant to the idea and even has read some potential series. However, she just hasn’t found the right project… yet.
“I’m totally open to it. I’m reading them,” Lawrence said. “I haven’t made the leap yet, but I’m definitely not against it. I love ‘Succession.’ I wish I was in it. Actually, no, because if I was in it, I wouldn’t be able to enjoy watching it.”

It’s not uncommon anymore to see A-list actors make the leap to TV. The list of major actors who have starred in a series is now much bigger than the list of those who haven’t. It’s almost more of a statement, now, to say that you won’t do a TV series than it was even 10 years ago. It’s clear that the direction of the industry is moving towards prestige projects being developed, largely, as TV series, and the big-name films are mostly franchise, IP-driven gigs.
So, honestly, it’s only a matter of time before Lawrence makes the official jump to the realm of TV. We just have to wait and see what project will finally convince her. Her newest film, “No Hard Feelings,” is set to arrive in theaters on June 23.
