Adam Devine Revives His ‘Pitch Perfect’ Character In A New Peacock Spinoff

It’s been five years since the world has been subjected to another entry in the “Pitch Perfect” franchise. Sure, by the end of the trilogy of films, the joke had begun to wear thin and the plot got a bit ridiculous, but there are still folks curious to see what the future holds for some of the characters. Well, if you are someone who wanted to see what happened to Bumper (Adam Devine) since the end of “Pitch Perfect 3,” you’re in luck.

As seen in the trailer for “Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin,” the next entry in the franchise finds Bumper discovering his growing fanbase in Germany. After a TikTok of his goes viral, Bumper is encouraged to venture to Berlin to help nurture his potential celebrity status and become a European singing sensation. As you might expect, hijinks ensue with various other colorful characters joining the shenanigans. You’ve seen a “Pitch Perfect” film before, so you know what you’re getting yourself into.

Joining Devine in the cast are Flula Borg, Sarah Hyland, Lera Abova, and Jameela Jamil. The latter of which is coming off of a strong supporting performance in the recent “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” series. ‘Bumper’ is written-produced-showrun by Megan Amram, with Todd Strauss-Schulson, Richie Keen, and Maureen Bharoocha each directing episodes.
“Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin” arrives on Peacock on November 23. NBC will also air the premiere episode and a sneak peek of episode 2 on November 28 after “The Voice.” You can watch the trailer below.

In the new series for Peacock, several years after we last saw him in “Pitch Perfect,” Adam Devine’s Bumper Allen moves to Germany to revive his music career when one of his songs becomes big in Berlin.
