Will Deadpool 3 Crossover with Loki Season 2?
Jan 11, 2023
A few Easter eggs have shown up hinting that Deadpool 3 might crossover with Loki season two.
Marvel Studios
Deadpool 3 and Loki season two are a couple of the most anticipated upcoming projects in the MCU. And now it’s possible that Deadpool might make a bit of a crossover with Loki’s storyline. Fans are implying that a statement from Hugh Jackman confirms the rumor, but really there are even more little Easter eggs that imply the TVA will continue to show up in the Multiverse Saga. Deadpool and Wolverine might plan to take a big journey through different timelines, but the dominoes have already been placed for big consequences that no one is expecting.
Loki season two is expected to premiere sometime in the summer of this year, and Deadpool 3 will is planned for the fall of 2024. So that means that even if the Loki writers don’t intend to include Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in their Disney+ series, Deadpool 3 might just retcon something after the fact, cheating his way into Marvel history as Deadpool is known to do. But now that Deadpool and Wolverine are both officially members of the MCU, there’s nothing stopping them from inserting themselves in Loki with a little cooperation. And don’t forget about all the Easter eggs we’ve gotten pointing to a potential invasion from the TVA. Deadpool 3 might end up being a crossover with Loki season two.

The Easter Eggs in Loki

There have been a couple of signs inside Loki that have been small but potentially explosive hints waiting to blow open the Marvel universe. Ever since the first episode of season one, fans have been convinced that the TVA from Loki has been meddling with the timeline of Earth-616. For a split second in episode one, you can see a woman walking in the background of the TVA while Loki is standing there in chains. While it’s not been confirmed, that woman has a similar haircut and face to Peggy Carter, Captain Britain in some universes, and Steve Rogers’ long-lost love in ours.

This was enough to set off a chain of implications of what the TVA might be doing with the rest of the sacred timeline. People thought that because Rogers had journeyed back in time and remained there at the end of Avengers: Endgame, perhaps the TVA abducted his love and an entire conflict occurred between the TVA and the time-traveling Captain America. The theories got even weirder once Loki and Sylvie annihilated the sacred timeline and introduced a whole separate TVA into the mix. Some go so far as to say that the TVA will show up to conquer the world in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Another Easter egg surfaced when some footage from Loki season two was included in a Disney+ trailer. In a scene where Loki and two of his duplicates stand flanking Mobius, one can see an active motorcycle in the background. Although this theory might not have two wheels to stand on, a lot of fans have started wondering if this is Wolverine’s iconic motorcycle standing at the ready. There might not be any evidence for it, but it’s fun to think about.
Another out-of-character hint comes from an exchange in Twitter posts between Loki’s Miss Minutes Twitter account and Deadpool. The fan world was a storm when Miss Minutes said hello to Deadpool on Twitter. And things got crazier when Ryan Reynolds replied using his personal account. Super fans everywhere started searching for some evidence in the comics that connected the two characters, but there wasn’t much to be had. People began wondering if there was, in fact, a crossover in the works.
If Deadpool 3 is a Crossover with Loki
20th Century Fox
If the rumors are true, and Deadpool 3 plans to make itself a crossover with season two of Loki, then there are a lot of things that might happen. The very concept of Deadpool getting in trouble with the TVA is not so far out of the realm of possibility, since, as we all know, he stole Cable’s time-traveling watch at the end of Deadpool 2. In fact, Deadpool has already done enough messing around in the sacred timeline to warrant being held up by the TVA. Deadpool 3 might even start with Deadpool’s arrest.

If that’s the case then we might see Deadpool having already had some contact with the TVA. And if what Deadpool told Wolverine at the end of Deadpool 2 is true, then he will actually be calling Logan for help. It would explain that loose connection with the motorcycle we saw turned on in the alley. Wolverine might be tearing up the place in order to get arrested and help Deadpool. Any number of those cells in the Loki season two clip might contain our favorite superheroes. Ryan Reynolds may even strike a deal to have Deadpool insert himself in the Disney+ series before his movie comes out. It’s going to be a year full of time-related hijinks for the heroes of the MCU. And Deadpool is in some trouble if he decides to mess with the TVA.
