Jul 18, 2024

Dylan Arnold (After, Halloween Kills) spoke with MovieWeb’s Greg Archer about his new Apple TV+ series, Lady in the Lake. He discussed the weird spark that he and Natalie Portman found between their characters in the show, and his experiences working on Oppenheimer and what he learned.

The Lady in the Lake premieres July 19, 2024 on Apple TV+, followed by new episodes every Friday through August 23. It hails from Alma Har’el and is based on Laura Lippman’s New York Times bestselling novel of the same name. Taking place in 1960’s Baltimore, an unsolved murder pushes housewife and mother Maddie Schwartz (Natalie Portman) to reinvent her life as an investigative journalist and sets her on a collision course with Cleo Sherwood (Moses Ingram), a hardworking woman juggling motherhood, many jobs and a passionate commitment to advancing Baltimore’s Black progressive agenda.
