People We Meet on Vacation Cast Revealed for Book’s Movie Adaptation
Sep 20, 2024
There are some more people to meet on vacation.
The highly anticipated film adaptation of author Emily Henry’s bestselling romance novel People We Meet on Vacation has added more star power to the cast after initially casting actors Tom Blyth and Emily Bader in the lead roles of Alex and Poppy.
The Good Place star Jameela Jamil, Emily in Paris’ Lucien Laviscount, Euphoria’s Lukas Gage, and upcoming White Lotus star Sarah Catherine Hook have all joined the film’s cast, E! News confirms. The project is being directed by Brett Haley (All the Bright Places).
The story centers around best friends Poppy and Alex—one a free spirit and the other straight laced, though with an apparent spark lingering beneath the surface—who spend their summers traveling together, meeting the aforementioned “people.”
The novel, which was released in 2021, is Henry’s bestselling book to date in a catalogue that includes a lineup of bestsellers like Happy Place, Book Lovers, Beach Read, and her latest release Funny Story, all of which are currently in either film or TV production deals.
