Apple Martin Attends Paris Fashion Week

Feb 3, 2023

New nepo baby moment unlocked: Apple Martin made her Paris Fashion Week debut with Chanel earlier this week.

Apple, 18, is the eldest child of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin. However, save for the occasional pic on her mom’s Instagram, she’s generally been out of the public eye — even her own IG is private. Apple is currently a college student, but where she is studying is currently unknown.

So, what better place to make your first official public outing as an adult than the front row of Paris Fashion Week? “The Chanel Couture show was my first fashion experience, and I am so incredibly grateful to Chanel and their incredible team for having me,” Apple told Vogue in a rare interview.

Unsurprisingly, Apple wore Chanel to the event — specifically, a dress and jacket from their spring 2023 collection. “I wanted my look to encapsulate Chanel’s timelessness, while adding edge with a strong eye look,” she continued. “My favorite part of the look was the combination of the loafers and the minidress. It’s something that felt very true to my own style.”

As for her own sense of style, Apple added, “I can’t say that I am super trendy. I love sweaters and oversized cardigans, loafers, and a good pair of comfy Levis. The most important thing for me is feeling like my genuine self when wearing an outfit; I’m aiming for a mix of classic ’90s and cool grandpa.”

Of course, Apple was not the only famous face in attendance:

Apple’s appearance is even more notable given that Chanel’s former creative director Karl Lagerfeld apparently said that she would be a “Chanel girl” when he met her as a child. While fashion journalist Derek Blasberg initially said the moment happened when Apple was 4, Gwyneth herself hopped into the comments to clarify that Apple was only 1:
