Travis Fimmel Joins The Cast Of The Prequel Sci-Fi Series

If you were thinking that the cast for “Dune: The Sisterhood” is full of too many women, then A) you’re a horrible person and B) don’t worry, Travis Fimmel is here to add some testosterone to the spinoff series. 
According to Variety, Travis Fimmel is the latest actor to join the growing cast of “Dune: The Sisterhood.” The upcoming spinoff series is set thousands of years before “Dune: Part One” and tells the story of the creation of the Bene Gesserit group. This group is comprised of women who have trained to become a lethal, tactical force to be reckoned with, as they insert themselves into the political dealings of the galaxy.

Fimmel is probably best known for his role in “Vikings.” His most recent role is in the HBO Max sci-fi series, “Raised By Wolves.” In ‘The Sisterhood,’ Fimmel will play ​​Desmond Hart, who is “a charismatic soldier with an enigmatic past, who seeks to gain the Emperor’s trust at the expense of the Sisterhood.”
“Dune: The Sisterhood” has already announced quite a few members of the cast, including Emily Watson, Shirley Henderson, Indira Varma, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Chloe Lea, Faoileann Cunningham, Aoife Hinds, and Shalom Brune-Franklin. The series is created and co-showrun by Diane Ademu-John. She’s joined by co-showrunner Alison Schapker. Johan Renck is set to direct the first episode.
No release date has been set for “Dune: The Sisterhood,” but you have to assume it’ll arrive after “Dune: Part Two,” which hits theaters on November 3, 2023.
