.
The award-winner in question is Anora’s
Mikey Madison, who defied the odds to take home the Best Actress award at the 2025 Academy Awards ceremony, while the movie itself snagged Best Picture along with several other awards. Now industry insider Daniel Richtman has claimed that Madison is top of Marvel Studios’ list for a role in the MCU, and many have speculated that this could be an appearance in Spider-Man 4

All 9 Mikey Madison Movies So Far, Ranked According to Rotten Tomatoes
Mikey Madison has only appeared in 9 films so far. But that’s probably about to change, thanks to her recent Oscar win.
While all of this is just speculation for now, it would not be surprising for Kevin Feige and his team to be looking to snare the young actress following her stunning performance in the low-budget smash. With several Oscar-winners already on Marvel’s books, it makes sense that they would want to add one of the newest winners to that list.
Spider-Man 4 is currently expected to start filming later this year, with an eye on releasing in 2026.
Mikey Madison Shocked Everyone With Her Best Actress Win

Although it was certainly as deserving as any other nominee at this year’s Oscars, Mikey Madison’s win was a surprise to many. The Academy Awards are never easy to predict, but for a lot of people, this year was going to be the year Demi Moore finally found herself making an acceptance speech for her role in The Substance.
However, it was not to be, and Madison crept in as the lead in her small, unassuming $6 million movie to steal away one of the most prized awards in Hollywood. The question of what she does next is open to many offers that will surely come her way, of which an invitation from Kevin Feige could just be one of them.
However, the actress may choose to take a different route, and keep her feet on the ground with more movies that don’t come with multi-million-dollar budgets, and usually don’t have the same nuances as independent fare. For now, we don’t know whether her immediate future will mean a stop in the MCU, with Richtman’s information leading many to wonder if she could now be in line to play Black Cat – a character long rumored to be appearing in Holland’s next Spider-Man movie – but again, we can take that with a pinch of salt until that often elusive confirmation from Marvel Studios is put out there in the world.
