Seychelle Talks ‘Deal Or No Deal Island’ Strategy and Her Mic Drop Exit
Mar 21, 2025
Being loud and outspoken is all part of the charm of Seychelle Cordero. The Staten Island native spent her time on Deal or No Deal Island Season 2 ensuring that if her game was going down in flames, so was everybody else’s. After a shocking elimination at the hands of Courtney “C.K.” Kim, Seychelle took her final moments on the Banker’s Private Island to leave with some parting shots, “My love, you know that if you would have kept me here, I would have ate you up. Because at the end of the day, no matter what happens in this game, you are nothing but a cheat with a flat ass, baby. And you know who made that deal, so if anybody’s talking about integrity and honesty, it’s not this bitch. Goodbye.”
Despite an explosive exit, Seychelle became a breakout star of the highly-entertaining second season of the hit NBC series. And yet, even with time removed from the game, Seychelle continues to have some fiery and spicy opinions about the experience. While she did make some bold moves and said some bold things, as she said in our chat, “I don’t regret a damn thing.”
Seychelle Was Unafraid to Speak Her Mind on ‘Deal Or No Deal Island’
COLLIDER: Another shocker at Temple! It’s Seychelle. Alright, you may get a lot of iced tea on the Bankers Private Island, but I have a feeling you’re going to spill some piping hot tea with us today.
SEYCHELLE CORDERO: Oh, you are ready!
COLLIDER: Let’s start simple. If you could describe your experience in three words, what would they be?
SEYCHELLE: If I could explain my experience in three words, what would it be? Really fun. I had a fun time. Sh-. This is f– hard. Can’t believe this is the f– hardest question I’v been asked all f– day. It’s difficult for three words. I’m gonna say very fun, once in a lifetime, and really overcoming my fears. I know that’s not three words, but it’s three statements.
COLLIDER: I’m here for it.
SEYCHELLE: Yeah.
COLLIDER: I like that. What was it like being out there on the Banker’s Private Island? I mean, it looked stunning.
SEYCHELLE: It was cool. It was cool. I mean, I’ve said it before. It’s not my typical idea of a vacation, right? Like I’m on vacation, I’m not gonna be sleeping in a twin bed with one pillow and a fishnet over me. It was cool. It was nice. I’m very happy that there was bug spray and air conditioning. I will say that much.
COLLIDER: Listen, that would be my thing, too. My friends are, like, ‘You should try Survivor.’ I can’t. I need the air conditioning. I wouldn’t survive.
SEYCHELLE: No, I totally f– feel you. I can’t lie, after doing this sh–, I’m like, the only reason why I would do Survivor is because I feel like I’d be so damn obnoxious that people just feel like, just keep her around. That bitch gonna send herself home. I don’t know, she’ll probably get bit by a spider and have to be airlifted out of here. That’s the only reason why I’d do it.
COLLIDER: Speaking of Survivor, we had a Survivor legend or two. A Big Brother legend. What was it like having these reality stars out there as competitors?
SEYCHELLE: Well, I didn’t know sh– about David [Genet]. I just know that he was a very big, strong-looking man, so therefore I didn’t want to win. Parvati [Shallow]. The second I saw I was just like, “This is some f– bullsh–, bro. This is this f– whack.” Because I watch reality TV. I watch reality competition TV. There’s typically, when it comes to people like this, typically everyone’s not gunning for them. So she actually might glide through, and I’m not going to be the bitch to be on some “We need to get this bitch out. Do you know she is?” But wanted her out. Dr. Will [Kirby], I was just really aggravated that they were bringing another straight man onto the island.
COLLIDER: You were outspoken this season, and I lived for it, and you left the game with a bang. Was that part of your strategy to speak your mind?
SEYCHELLE: When need be. Yes. There are a million things that are always running through my mind. I’ve always been a woman to just speak my mind, as blunt as possible, as dirty and disgusting as possible. I totally stand by it. I love that about me. The reason why I went out in the way that I went out is because CK thought she was doing something. So I’m just like, you’re not. You know what I’m saying? If you didn’t get read down enough by [Alexis] Lete and Phillip [Solomon], I’m gonna give you a cherry on top.

COLLIDER: Do you think your fellow competitors saw you as a social threat?
SEYCHELLE: No.
COLLIDER: That’s the beauty of your game!
SEYCHELLE: Oh, my God. I mean, I love that for me. I knew that going onto a show like this, people, and even everyone on the island was just like, “You’re so funny and so blunt, there’s no way you could ever lie. You hate the elements.” And I’m just like, ‘Yeah…” You know what I’m saying? I’m running from tent to tent. People, they open up to me. A lot of people see me as someone really easy to talk to and everything. But I knew that that would be really phenomenal for my game.
COLLIDER: The Family. They were the big threat on the island. What made them the threat? Was it having these two strategic masterminds at the jump?
SEYCHELLE: It was that, I think the audacity to state it so quickly, like “We are the family, and we do stand together, and we’re recruiting, we’re recruiting people.” I think it’s the sheer audacity in that.
COLLIDER: Let’s talk about the excursion. Certainly, probably a little bit of buyer’s remorse now. But do you stand by not jumping?
SEYCHELLE: Yes, I stand by everything I’ve done in this game because the show’s not over. If I would have done anything else differently. There are times when I think about, oh, like, should I have played? And I’m just like, no, that could have possibly changed the whole trajectory of the game. I am so pleased and happy with exactly how I played, and I absolutely cannot wait for everyone else to watch the remainder of the show.
COLLIDER: There’s a word that keeps coming up this season, and that word is integrity. Why do you need integrity to play this game?
SEYCHELLE: Honey, I don’t f– know! When I went into this f– island, I’m just like, I don’t care if your great-grandmother is in hospice. Sorry, but not sorry. I’m here to win. Okay, I want to change my life. I’m 31, and I deserve to live a hot girl lifestyle. I don’t care what the f– you have going on. So, of course, I’m not going to go into the f– Island talking about, oh, “I’m just playing this game with sheer integrity.” If you want to do that, that’s fine. That’s not the game that I’m playing. But if you’re going to go on camera, you gonna talk to us on some, “Oh, I’m playing the game with integrity, and you’re not, you look like a clown.”
COLLIDER: CK: Wild card, or, as Philip called her, a human tornado. Why was she a threat to everyone? Is it because she was such a wild card, and you didn’t know what she would do?
SEYCHELLE: I think that’s what it was. I think, what I will say is CK was a was very emotional playing this game, and it’s someone that you, it’s like you initially want to really avoid. But then it’s kind of like, but let me kind of keep her close to see where her mind is going, because she was very erratic throughout the whole duration of the game. It was a lot. It was very overwhelming, but I did want to know what was on her mind? I think that’s why she was seen as a threat, because she was very erratic.

Does Seychelle Have Any Regrets About ‘Deal Or No Deal Island?’

COLLIDER: Let’s start talking about the cheating scandal that rocked the island. What was it like watching her do it out in the open, in front of your eyes?
SEYCHELLE: I’ve said it before. I just think it was really corny. I think it was really, really corny to do it just so bluntly in front of Joe [Manganiello]’s face. Right under. Joe’s literally looking down at you, and you’re looking into the case. I gotta be honest with you, there was so many things about that episode, in that challenge that were really, really silly on her part. But even in her telling Lete, “You need to jump for me,” and Lete’s like, “Bitch, it depends on the f– order.” You know what I’m saying? Just sometimes you really gotta sit cute and be quiet. Even when cameras were off when we first started that challenge, she came up to meet and was like, “Sister, you gotta jump for me,” and I’m like, “Bitch, I kept you safe last week.” We’re not gonna run this back week to week to week to week. Like, play your own f– game. You know what I’m saying? For now. I just think all of that was really f– stupid.
COLLIDER: Was her final move to save herself really blowing up everyone’s game at the Temple? Did she have any other cards to play?
SEYCHELLE: No. I mean, no. I think that would have been more beneficial to her game again, to just sit cute and be quiet. There’s something again with playing the game with her and, having some conversations we’ll have after the show, she’s really, really heavy on someone, something is running through her mind, she needs backup to support a move. She’s very heavy on the “should I do this?” You know what I’m saying? So if you have someone messy like Parvati egging you on to do it, which totally don’t blame her. If I was in Parvati’s shoes, I’d be like, “Egg ’em out, bitch.” It just makes sense that CK was feeling really emotional, and she confided in Parvati, and Parvati was like, “Yeah, go ahead. Do your thing.” Then she was like, “Alright, then maybe I should.”
COLLIDER: Why you? Why was she afraid of you?
SEYCHELLE: Maybe because I was able to convince her to give me her immunity. I think about that, I know that after that, she was very upset. And you know, in my mind, I’m just like, really, really, I didn’t give a f– if she went home or not that night. If Will decided to send her home that night, I’d be like, “It’s okay, Will! You played. It’s fine. I still trust you, buddy. I still trust you.” I wouldn’t have given a f–. Maybe she thought that was just the best move there. I was clearly a part of the alliance with Lete and Phillip, and I just so happened to be on the bottom. So maybe she felt like, “Okay, this would hurt them.” I don’t think very wise on her end, but…
COLLIDER: Not at all, no. Let’s end on a positive. Finish the sentence. The best moment of my Deal Or No Deal Island experience was blank.
SEYCHELLE: Honestly, probably getting eliminated and able to enjoy the vacation on the island afterwards. I had a Five Star time!
COLLIDER: MG [Cook] said it was a rage for everybody. Y’all had a great time.
SEYCHELLE: Oh, my God, we literally did. I feel so thankful and so blessed that I was able to get out when I did, do everything that I did in the show, for me to have a wonderful time with everybody else thereafter. And there’s a really phenomenal, wonderful twist at the end of the show. I don’t regret a damn thing. I am so pleased.
COLLIDER: I can’t wait to see what happens next. Congratulations on a great season. You are absolutely a joy to watch.
SEYCHELLE: Thank you so much. I appreciate you.
