‘Superman’ 5-Minute Preview Teased by Thailand Theater for ‘Minecraft’
Mar 28, 2025
After the record-setting trailer for Superman knocked everyone’s socks off last December, fans have waited anxiously for a new look at the highly-anticipated DCU film. A Krypto-focused TV spot during the Puppy Bowl subsided the appetite for a little while, but as Superman nears its summer release date, another trailer is inevitable. It seems a preview of the upcoming James Gunn project is imminent, if a new rumor is to be trusted.
According to a post by a major Thailand theater chain, Superman will be getting a five-minute preview during showings for A Minecraft Movie, the next major blockbuster from Warner Bros. The film, which hits theaters on Apr. 4, will apparently carry a good chunk of new footage from Superman. The new rumor surfaces as speculation heats up on a new trailer releasing during CinemaCon next week, which aligns with the A Minecraft Movie release schedule. It is unclear if North American audiences will receive the same five-minute preview as Thai moviegoers, but news of U.S. theaters getting the same trailer package could surface soon as well. Until anything is confirmed, this should be taken with a grain of salt, but the dots are beginning to connect.

Superman is widely expected to get a new trailer next week during CinemaCon, which occurs in Las Vegas, Nevada, from Mar. 31 to Apr. 3, 2025. With Warner Bros. relying on the DCU feature film to carry much of their 2025 movie slate, especially after Mickey 17 failed to light up the box office and print profits for the studio. Debuting the new trailer during the theater convention would be a good way to reassure movie theater companies that the summer is safe in Superman’s hands, as long as it is as well-received as the first teaser was last year.
‘Superman’ Star Talks About His Green Lantern DCU Debut
While fans await a new preview for Superman, Nathan Fillion recently teased his role as Guy Gardner, aka Green Lantern. He will form part of a group of superheros — which includes Mister Terrific, Hawkgirl, and Metamorpho — that were prominently featured in the first trailer for the film. His role is best described as a fearless “jerk,” someone who has the willpower necessary to wield a Power Ring but is not actually a “very good” person. It seems he will be butting heads with the titular Krypotonian, who is known for his boy-scout tendencies.
“He’s a jerk! What’s important to know is, you don’t have to be good to be a Green Lantern; you just have to be fearless. So Guy Gardner is fearless, and he is not very good. He’s not nice, which is very freeing as an actor because you just think to yourself, what is the most selfish, self-serving thing I can do in this moment? And that’s the answer. That’s what you do in that moment. I think if he has a superpower, it might be his overconfidence, in that he thinks he could take on Superman. He can’t!”
Green Lantern and his Justice League-esque crew will have a relatively significant role in the film, especially Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific. James Gunn previously confirmed that Gathegi plays a key part in Superman and is more than just a cameo. Superman will have the weight of the entire DC Universe on his shoulders this summer, but he will be joined by a few fan-favorite superheroes that are finally making their big-screen debut.
