Miley Cyrus Drops Single “End of the World” From Upcoming Album

Apr 5, 2025

Miley Cyrus is the gift that keeps on giving.

The Grammy-winning singer dropped the third track, “End of the World,” from her forthcoming ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, on Thursday, as well as its respective music video (below).

The sultry single’s verses have a slower tempo compared to its electric chorus, which features the lyrics: “Let’s pretend it’s not the end of the world / The sky is falling, falling like a comet now / I can see it coming down.”

As for the music video, Cyrus shines in a green sequined minidress as she seductively rolls around a stage, with a microphone in hand, singing the lyrics to “End of the World.” The only other person featured in the video is her drummer on stage with her, as the room is illuminated by golden lights.

Amid its release, the “Flowers” artist wrote on Instagram, “Miley Cyrus unveils ‘End of the World,’ the first official single off of her highly anticipated album, Something Beautiful, out May 30 via Columbia Records. The new single ‘End of the World’ out now.”

It’s been a busy week for Cyrus, as the new single comes days after she unveiled the first two songs — “Prelude” and “Something Beautiful” — from her upcoming album on Monday, as well as their respective music videos.

The 13-track Something Beautiful will be released May 30, with an accompanying film. The trailer for the film, which dropped last week, described it as “a unique visual experience fueled by fantasy” and a “one of a kind pop opera.” The film is set to be released in June.
