Magic Mike and Deathstroke actor Joe Manganiello continues to work on the D&D franchise.
Warner Bros. Pictures
Joe Manganiello is a huge Dungeons & Dragons fan. Fans of the hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory will remember that the Magic Mike star and Deathstroke actor had a small part in the series playing himself, taking part in Will Wheaton’s D&D game alongside Kevin Smith, William Shatner and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. But the actor’s relationship with the franchise goes far beyond fiction.
Manganiello has been working on projects related to role-playing game for years. In 2017, he even revealed that he had written a D&D script with John Cassel, ultimately leading him to work as a consultant for Wizards of the Coast. The organization is a family of studios specializing in building role playing, trading card, and digital games for all genres of players. And it seems they might have something under their sleeves.
In a recent video from Black Forest Wood, the company shows how they set up a huge gaming table in Manganiello’s house, and he reveals some of his upcoming projects with the franchise:
“I work for Dungeons & Dragons. So, I’m actually shooting a documentary right now and I’m developing a TV show for them.”
The actor also talked about his weekly Dungeons & Dragons game, which has featured various celebrities such as Tom Morello, Vince Vaughn, and Paul Wight, further anticipating that many other stars will join the game in the near future.
