Woman of Tomorrow’ Set Photo Reveals Milly Alcock in DCU Suit

Apr 21, 2025

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is currently in production, and despite the top-secret nature of the upcoming DCU film, a set photo has seemingly revealed the first look at Milly Alcock in her superhero suit. Unfortunately, it appears that the methods used to keep the film’s costumes a secret have not worked out at the end of the day. Sure, Jason Momoa’s long-awaited debut as Lobo is still shrouded in secrecy, but Supergirl herself has made her way online. Update: A brief set video has also surfaced.
A new image that leaked on social media reveals a slightly blurry look at Alcock in a comic-accurate superhero suit as the titular Woman of Tomorrow. Supergirl is seen on a tank that appears to be of alien origin. The film, described as a sci-fi odyssey, has Kara Zor-El traveling across the galaxy as a hero-for-hire alongside Krypto. When a young girl tasks her with getting revenge for the death of her father, it’s up to Supergirl to get the job done. It certainly seems Alcock’s heroine is doing just that in the leaked appearance. Check out the image and short video clip below:

‘Superman’ merchandise is starting to roll out, and this is the best look at a replica of a must-have piece of Green Lantern memorabilia.

Despite being a “grittier” sci-fi film compared to Superman, there won’t be any lack of color for Supergirl herself. Alcock sports a bright red and blue suit that keeps her original comic design intact. Of course, it’s hard to tell the fine details due to the candid nature of the image, but fans should probably expect to see some resemblance to David Corenswet’s boy scout appearance in the Gunn-directed film. A more “jaded” version of the superhero than we’ve seen before, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is breaking the mold of her previous appearances in live-action, including the original 1984 film, 2023’s The Flash, and The CW series starring Melissa Benoist.
Is ‘Superman’ Getting a New Trailer Soon?

Warner Bros.

Superman fans were just treated to a five-minute preview of the film, which featured David Corenswet’s Kal-El getting healed at the Fortress of Solitude, but that doesn’t mean more footage isn’t coming soon. If DCU fans’ speculation turns out true, a new trailer is set to arrive later this month, just in time for Superman day. A video featuring James Gunn and DC’s Chief Creative Officer, Jim Lee, talking about the film ended with a statement that fans should “celebrate” the superhero on Apr. 18. Many believe that Gunn will drop it on the celebratory day, especially since he recently confirmed that he is currently editing a new teaser. Unfortunately, nothing has been confirmed just yet, so fans will have to keep their expectations in check for now.
Meanwhile, with San Diego Comic-Con around the corner, there is a chance that Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow could get a teaser ahead of its 2026 release date. After all, the fast-moving production is directly connected to Superman, with rumors pointing towards Milly Alcock making a cameo as Kara Zor-El in the Gunn film. Woman of Tomorrow is being directed by Craig Gillespie based on a script by Ana Nogueira, who is also penning a Teen Titans feature. In addition to Alcock as Supergirl, the movie stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa as Lobo.
