All ‘Alien’ Movies Are Streaming on Hulu June 1

May 19, 2025

If you have got a thing for xenomorphs, you might want to renew that Hulu subscription before the end of the month. The streamer owned by Disney, and known for harboring more adult-oriented content, will be adding the entire Alien franchise, bringing all movies home ahead of Alien: Earth’s release later this year. It is a collection of nine films, all featuring ruthless extraterrestrials trying to harvest humans, and the franchise’s divisive crossover with the Predator saga.
Starting June 1, fans of the Alien universe will be able to stream all the movies on the same platform. It is a rare occurrence, as it’s not often that all films in a franchise become available on the same streamer—especially a franchise that has so many films. However, since the absorption of Fox into the Disney family, they have the rights to all the Alien movies, so it makes perfect sense to have them on Hulu. The movies being added are:

Alien (1979)

Aliens (1986)

Alien 3 (1992)

Alien Resurrection (1997)

Alien vs. Predator (2004)

Alien vs. Predator: Requiem (2007)

Prometheus (2012)

Alien: Covenant (2017)

*Alien: Romulus, the 2024 entry of the Alien universe, is already streaming on Hulu.

The legacy of the Alien franchise is unquestionable. What Ridley Scott created back in 1979 was a landmark in the genres of horror and science fiction, redefining the rules of genre mashups, and proving that sometimes space exploration is not the best idea and distress calls should be ignored. It was also a groundbreaking presentation of a fierce female hero. Ellen Ripley quickly became an icon, and it cemented the idea that no Alien film can work with a lead that isn’t a fearless woman defending herself and her crew.

As if we weren’t already excited enough!

The franchise is still alive to this day, with Alien: Romulus showing Hollywood that there’s still juice in the land of xenomorphs. The film made more than $350 million and received positive reviews from critics. The next entry in the franchise is the TV show Alien: Earth, created by Fargo’s Noah Hawley, and which will serve as a prequel to the original 1979 film. Even though it hasn’t been officially confirmed, Alien: Romulus director Fede Álvarez is reportedly working on a script for a sequel to his 2024 film that revived the flame of the franchise.
June Won’t Be a Great Month for ‘Alien’ Fans, But Also for Fans of This “Cousin” Franchise

20th Century Studios/Hulu

Horror sci-fi buffs won’t only have the pleasure of enjoying what surely will be a marathon in the company of the Weyland-Yutani corporation. Hulu is also adding another very close franchise to its library. The Alien vs. Predator movies were mentioned above as crossovers and part of the Alien franchise, but the streamer will also add the Predator movies:

Predator (1987)

Predator 2 (1990)

Predators (2010)

The Predator (2018)

Prey, the 2022 Predator prequel is already streaming on Hulu.

2025 will also see the release of not one but two Predator films. Predator: Killer of Killers is an animated anthology that’ll be released in June, and it’s directed by Prey’s Dan Trachtenberg and Micho Robert Rutare. Predator: Badlands is a live-action sequel that’s set for release in November. It is also directed by Dan Trachtenberg.
