First Steps’ Funko Pops Reveal Franklin Richards

May 25, 2025

The Fantastic Four: First Steps merchandise has surfaced online, and MCU fans excited to get their hands on Funko Pops from the superhero team-up film won’t have to wait much longer. In fact, the first look at the film’s toys reveals one of the MCU’s most powerful new characters, which says a lot because the film also features Galactus. Beware of possible spoilers.
The first lineup of Funko Pops for The Fantastic Four: First Steps has been revealed, and in addition to featuring all four founding heroes of Marvel’s First Family, their smallest new member is also included. Franklin Richards, the child of Reed Richards and Sue Storm, is paired up with Invisible Woman. He also seems to be wearing a tiny F4-themed onesie, of course. The baby has already been teased in the trailer, but this is the first look at the character known as one of the most powerful in all of Marvel Comics. Check out the Funko Pops below:

‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Reveals Best Look Yet at Galactus (But Fans Will Be Disappointed)

‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ releases in theaters on July 25.

For those unaware of the lore, calling Franklin Richards one of the most powerful beings in the MCU might sound a little nuts. However, considering his insane powerset, it’s hard not to claim that. In the comics, Franklin is a child who has the ability to manipulate reality, in addition to having psionic and telepathic powers. Yes, he can bend the very fabric of reality to his will. He is considered an Omega-level mutant so powerful that he placed mental blocks to nerf his own superhuman abilities, which resemble a god. It’s unclear if his superpowers will play a role in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, but it is possible that Galactus is interested in the newborn’s reality-shifting powerset.
‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Will “Go Down in History”

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is one of three MCU movies coming out this year, but it has big shoes to fill after Thunderbolts* broke expectations for critics and fans alike. After a tumultuous Multiverse Saga, things are trending up in the MCU, so it is up to First Steps to carry that momentum towards Avengers: Doomsday. Fortunately, it seems the cast is confident the new team-up film will do just that, while hearkening back to the peaks of the franchise.
First Steps star Paul Walter Hauser teased his role in the upcoming reboot, and how he believes the Matt Shakman-directed film will be another milestone in the superhero genre. With comparisons to Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther, it’s hard not to get excited about the prospect of the Fantastic Four breaking the MCU mold in the best way possible.

“I think our movie, Fantastic Four: First Steps, to me, only speaking from my opinion, everything I witnessed and took part in, everything I felt while in the presence of the creatives on the film, I believe we are the Marvel movie of the year. I believe we are the one to watch. I believe that this will go down in history as one of the ones that started a new tide of successful storytelling for the company. Sort of in the same way the Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther hit. They both hit in a certain way. I believe we are about to hit.”
