‘Maxton Hall’ Reveals Season 2 Release Date on Prime Video

Jun 6, 2025

After a little over a year of waiting, fans of the Prime Video series Maxton Hall finally have news about the highly anticipated second season. First released in May 2024, Maxton Hall: The World Between Us quickly became the streaming platform’s biggest ever international launch. Moreover, the series would become the most-watched international show of all time on Amazon’s platform in just its first week. So, it only makes sense that an update on the second season would come sooner rather than later, as Prime Video has released an official statement on the upcoming batch of episodes, along with a release date.

Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks? We’re definitely checking this one out.

In a press release, Amazon announced that Maxton Hall’s second season would debut on Prime Video on November 7. The second season will be based on the second installment of the novel series “Save You,” written by author Mona Kasten. The book series itself is a bestseller, which makes sense that its success would translate into the medium of television. Along with a release date, Amazon dropped a brief plot synopsis, teasing what fans can expect in the next season:
“After their passionate night together in Oxford and her greatest life goal within reach, everything seems to be going perfectly for Ruby (Harriet Herbig-Matten). But a stroke of fate in James’ (Damian Hardung) family changes everything, and James himself, of all people, brings her back from cloud nine to a harsh reality. But she can’t forget James — especially since he’s doing everything he can to win her back.”

‘Maxton Hall’ Season 2 Will Be Worth The Wait

The brief 30-second teaser for the second season of Maxton Hall packs in as much drama and intrigue as one could hope for. Now that there is a release date, fans of the drama series have something to look forward to at the end of the year. Given that the first season of the show was released in May 2024, it’s somewhat surprising that such a massive success would take well over a year to release a second season. However, according to an Amazon spokesperson, the wait was to help ensure the quality of the series. Amazon provided a statement to Deadline earlier this year, before the release date was announced, that they wanted to “offer fans around the globe the best Maxton Hall experience. As such, we’re intensely working on a first-class production and music composition for the series, including comprehensive language versions. We promise the wait will be worth it.” As such, the November release date ends up making much more sense. It will be interesting to see if the somewhat long wait between seasons leads to a drop-off in viewership. Filming for the second season of Maxton Hall wrapped all the way back in September 2024, serving as further proof that Prime Video has since wanted to take its time with the release of the new episodes. Interestingly, while Amazon holds the rights to all three books on which the series is based, there are no official plans to green-light a third season (yet). Overall, it seems that the success of Maxton Hall Season 2 in November might help to determine whether the story and romance of this series get resolved in a third season. Source: Deadline
