Dreams Come To An End In Final Season Of Netflix’s Fantasy Series On July 3

Netflix’s fantasy series “The Sandman,” based on the comic book run of Neil Gaiman (“American Gods”), is making a grand final bow with two Volumes of episodes, with the second season acting as the final run, and the streamer has dropped a new trailer. 
A staggering group of talented actors assembled for the streaming series which consists of Tom Sturridge, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Mason Alexander Park, Donna Preston, Esmé Creed-Miles, Adrian Lester, Barry Sloane, Patton Oswalt, Vivienne Acheampong, Gwendoline Christie, Jenna Coleman, Ferdinand Kingsley, Stephen Fry, Asim Chaudhry, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Razane Jammal, Ruairi O’Connor, Freddie Fox, Clive Russell, Laurence O’Fuarain, Ann Skelly, Douglas Booth, Jack Gleeson, Indya Moore, Steve Coogan, and Boyd Holbrook.

Allan Heinberg is the showrunner of “The Sandman,” with David S. Goyer and Gaiman producing, and director Jamie Childs tackling all 11 episodes. 
An official synopsis from Netflix: 
After a fateful reunion with his family, Dream of the Endless (Sturridge) must face one impossible decision after another as he attempts to save himself, his kingdom, and the waking world from the epic fallout of his past misdeeds. To make amends, Dream must confront longtime friends and foes, gods, monsters, and mortals. But the path to forgiveness is full of unexpected twists and turns, and true absolution may cost Dream everything. Based on the beloved, award-winning DC comic series, the second season of “The Sandman” will fully tell Dream’s story arc to its thrilling conclusion.
The streamer also boasts that season two will adapt fan-favorite storylines from many of the most beloved comics, including “The Season of Mists,” “Brief Lives,” “The Kindly Ones”  and “The Sandman: Overture,” collections, along with beloved single-issue stories such as “Tales In The Sand,” “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” “The Song of Orpheus,” “Thermidor,” and “The Tempest,” among others.

“The Sandman” Season 2 Volume 1 will debut on July 3 with the first six episodes, and Volume 2 will premiere on July 24 with the final five episodes. You can watch that new trailer below.
