Seth Rogen To Write, Direct & Star In New Apple TV+ Comedy Series About A Hollywood Studio

Seth Rogen, along with his producing partner Evan Goldberg, know a thing or two about working with major Hollywood studios. Some might even say the duo have cracked the studio code by being able to make widely-seen comedy films and TV series with studios while also retaining a lot of creative control. Now, the duo are hoping to bring that experience to a new comedy series on Apple TV+.

According to Variety, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are set to write, direct, and produce a new half-hour comedy series with Apple TV+ about a legacy Hollywood movie studio trying to survive in an era where artistic aspirations don’t always mesh well with commercial demands. In addition to co-writing, directing, and producing, Rogen will also star in the untitled series. 
Rogen and Goldberg are some of the most prolific producers working today. They seemingly have found their own little niche with streaming projects, working as producers on hit series such as “Pam & Tommy,” “The Boys,” and “Invincible,” as well as the upcoming “Sausage Party” sequel series coming to Prime Video. In addition, they have produced recent films such as “Good Boys,” “American Pickle,” and “Long Shot.”

In addition to this new series, Rogen has another Apple TV+ project in the works, which is Nicholas Stoller’s “Platonic,” where the actor will star opposite Rose Byrne. So, needless to say, there’s quite a bit of Rogen content in the works. 
There’s no release date set for the untitled Apple TV+ comedy series.
