Aug 18, 2025
We don’t know about you, but we’ve missed watching Joanne (Kristen Bell) and Noah (Adam Brody) from Netflix’s hit show Nobody Wants This. (Come on, we can’t be the only ones who think they’re true relationship goals, right?) Luckily, fans won’t have to wait much longer for the couple’s return, because Netflix has just confirmed the official release date for Nobody Wants This Season 2. Keep reading to find out more. On August 14, Netflix surprised fans by releasing first-look photos from Nobody Wants This Season 2. One shows Joanna and Noah cuddling in bed. Another shows Joanne and her sister, Morgan, filming an episode of their sex podcast. The caption really captured fans’ attention: “The gang’s all here. Here’s a first look at Season 2 of NOBODY WANTS THIS dropping October 23!” See the post below. Consider us seated. Nobody Wants This follows an agnostic sex podcaster (Bell), who starts dating a single rabbi (Brody) after ending his three-year relationship with his girlfriend. They don’t expect to fall in love, but they do. As they try to navigate their contrasting lifestyles and meddling families, Joanne and Noah soon learn that making their relationship work proves to be much harder than they thought. Following its release in September 2024, Nobody Wants This became a smash hit for Netflix. According to Deadline, the 10-episode rom-com series drew in 15.9 million views in its first full week on the streamer, making it the number one TV show and the most-watched English-language title of the week on Netflix. Per What’s on Netflix, the series continues to receive love from fans: Nobody Wants This has been watched over 65.9 million times by Netflix subscribers between its release on September 25, 2024, and June 30, 2025. That’s impressive.
What Is ’Nobody Wants This’ Season 2 About?
Ahead of the premiere, Netflix released the official synopsis for Nobody Wants This Season 2, which gives fans a pretty good idea as to what will happen next for Joanne and Noah. It states:
“First comes love, then comes life. The last time we saw agnostic podcast host Joanne (Kristen Bell) and unconventional (hot) rabbi Noah (Adam Brody), their unmatched chemistry surprised everyone in their lives, including her sister Morgan (Justine Lupe), his brother Sasha (Timothy Simons) and sister-in-law Esther (Jackie Tohn), and even themselves. Their spark proved stronger than all of the obstacles trying to keep them apart. Now, they’re back and fully committed to merging their lives – and loved ones — together. But their differences still exist and can’t be ignored. The challenge now is not just falling in love against all odds, but staying together in spite of them.”
Who will be returning for Nobody Wants This Season 2? We’re glad you asked. The main cast from Nobody Wants This Season 1 is expected to return for the new installment. Aside from Bell and Brody, Justine Lupe and Timothy Simons will be back to play siblings Morgan and Sasha, respectively. Also, fans should expect the return of Jackie Tohn as Esther and Sherry Cola as Ashley. And guess what? Two new faces will be joining the ensemble for Nobody Wants This Season 2. In February, Variety reported that Brody’s real-life wife, Leighton Meester, will be guest-starring in the second season. Additionally, Bottoms alum Miles Fowler will portray Lenny, Noah’s Matzah Ballers teammate, and seemingly a new love interest for Joanne’s sister Morgan.
Catch Kristen Bell and Adam Brody in Nobody Wants This Season 2, which premieres on Netflix on October 23, 2025.
