Netflix’s ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Season 4 Finally Gets First Trailer
Jan 16, 2026
The Lincoln Lawyer is back in action as the first trailer for Season 4 has finally been released. Based on the Michael Connelly book series, Netflix’s popular crime thriller returns with defense attorney Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) now on trial in what has been described as the most emotional season yet. Is he guilty of murder? Certainly not, but it’s going to take everything the eccentric lawyer has to win his latest case. Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4, set to premiere on the streamer on February 5. The show follows up on the cliffhanger ending of Season 3, which had police discover the body of a former client, Sam Scales (Christopher Thornton), in the trunk of Mickey’s car, with the lawyer now having to prove his innocence. Mickey has his work cut out for him, too, as he battles for justice against prosecutor Dana Berg (Constance Zimmer), a lawyer dubbed “Death Row” because of her ruthless tactics. Fortunately, Mickey has his close friends and family at his side, but it is probably going to take even more than that to solve his most difficult case yet. The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 cast features Garcia-Rulfo alongside returning stars Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson, Neve Campbell, Elliott Gould, and Krista Warner. Joining the highly anticipated season are Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother), Sasha Alexander (Shameless), and Constance Zimmer (Entourage) in key roles as Mickey stands trial for murder. Created by David E Kelley, the series hails from co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez, who also executive produce the series alongside Michael Connelly, Ross Fineman, Barry Jossen, Tana Jamieson, Matthew J Lieberman, and Gladys Rodriguez. Read the official synopsis:
Based on the series of bestselling novels by renowned author Michael Connelly, the fourth season is based on the sixth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series, The Law of Innocence. Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia Rulfo) faces his toughest case yet as he and his team work tirelessly to prove his innocence in the murder of a former client, Sam Scales. To clear his name, they must unravel Sam’s final scam, forcing them to go head-to-head with the DA’s office, the FBI, and ghosts from Mickey’s own past.
‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Showrunners Tease Most “Emotional” Season Yet
In a conversation with Netflix Tudum, co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez talked about The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 being the most “personal and emotional” one yet. Of course, the creatives are proud of the work they have done thus far, but it seems the fourth installment kicks things up a notch. As the trailer suggests, Mickey is confronting his most difficult case yet, and one that will surely push him to his limits as an attorney.
“As proud of the first three seasons as we are, we can say without hesitation that Season 4 is our most personal and emotional season yet. It presents the biggest stakes and the biggest challenge for Mickey and his team because now Mickey’s the client.”
The calm, cool, and collected Mickey fades away in Season 4, as Humphrey and Rodriguez teased that the “cracks begin to show” sooner rather than later.
“In terms of his emotional state, Mickey’s putting on a very brave front for his team, his family, and himself. But it doesn’t take long before the cracks begin to show and the gravity of the situation hits home.”
