But, in 2025, the streamer dropped one of its best shows yet, a nine-episode crime thriller starring Mad Men’s Jon Hamm. The show is now back for its second season, and new episodes cannot come soon enough. The second season of Your Friends & Neighbors premiered on Apple TV+ on Apr. 3, and it’s already a hit. After just one episode, Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 is the third most popular series on Apple TV+ this week in the US. The third season of Shrinking continues to dominate the #1 spot. The brand-new thriller, Imperfect Women, is in third. However, international audiences adore the show even more, as Your Friends & Neighbors is the most popular series this week on Apple TV+ worldwide. Banshee’s Jonathan Tropper created the series. Jon Hamm stars as Coop, a senior investment banker who’s unexpectedly fired. But, not wanting to give up his lavish lifestyle in an exclusive, wealthy community, Coop finds another, less moral means of earning money: stealing from his neighbors. But stealing from the super-rich, who won’t even notice when something goes missing, isn’t as easy as it sounds. Alongside Hamm, the series also stars Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, and Lena Hall.
‘Your Friends & Neighbors’ Is Apple’s Version of ‘Breaking Bad’ (Kind Of)

When Your Friends & Neighbors first dropped in 2025, the series earned decent reviews from critics (79% on Rotten Tomatoes). But it resonated with audiences even more strongly, leading to an 82% user score on RT and the top spot on Apple TV+’s weekly chart during its run. Season 2 is only one episode in, and it’s already scoring better. The new season doesn’t have enough user ratings on IMDb to accumulate a Popcornmeter score. But critics are even more fond of Season 2, as it holds an 84% Rotten Tomatoes rating. The Rotten Tomatoes critics’ consensus calls the series, “An acidly witty riff on breaking bad, Your Friends & Neighbors’ class commentary occasionally stumbles but has an endlessly watchable avatar in star Jon Hamm.” The series might swap out amphetamines for stealing million-dollar watches and handbags, but the interplay between the characters and the internal conflict remains the same. Just like Walt wrestling his true violent nature as Heisenberg, Coop quickly develops a sense of kleptomania, falling in love with stealing and the feeling of nearly getting caught.
‘Your Friends & Neighbors’ Isn’t Going Away Anytime Soon

Season 2 has only just been released, but Apple TV+ has a lot of confidence in Your Friends & Neighbors’ future on the platform. The series has already been picked up for a third season. Obviously, no plot details for Season 3 have been announced yet. The third season doesn’t yet have a release date. But, in the meantime, new episodes of Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 drop weekly on Fridays. The new season will run for ten episodes, ending on Jun. 5.
