Alan Ritchson is back for more action in the first look at his popular streaming series Reacher, which is set to return on Prime Video later this summer. As the Lee Child adaptation looks ahead to the future with a fifth season already on the way, fans won’t have to wait much longer until Jack Reacher returns to the small screen. Prime Video has officially revealed the first official poster for Reacher Season 4, which is set to premiere on Aug. 12. The upcoming season is based on Lee Child’s Gone Tomorrow, the 13th book of his best-selling series. The plot follows Jack Reacher (Ritchson) confronting a wide-ranging conspiracy in New York City after a chance encounter with a distraught stranger on a subway goes wrong. As the official synopsis suggests, Reacher is then pulled into “a complex and deadly game that pits him against ruthless foes from the highest echelons of power.” As with each season of Reacher, expect new characters to surround Jack Reacher on his latest mission. The new cast members for Season 4 include Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, AGNEZ MO, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan, and Kathleen Robertson. Alongside Ritchson, Maria Sten is expected to return as Frances Neagley, setting up her long-awaited spin-off series, which releases on the same day as the Reacher Season 4 finale. As Reacher is expected to provide Prime Video with some major streaming viewership numbers this August, the series is already looking ahead to the future. The streamer officially renewed the show for Season 5 back in May, well before the fourth season received its premiere date. The fifth entry in the popular television franchise is set to begin production during the “last half of the year,” according to series star Alan Ritchson. While it is unclear which book it will be adapting, the lead actor also confirmed that all episode scripts are ready to go, and the source material has been chosen.

Ritchson is officially back as his most popular character this August, but he also has several major action roles on the big screen this year. Up next is his highly stylized, no-dialogue thriller Motor City, which is set to hit theaters on Jul. 24 and stars Shailene Woodley, Ben Foster, and Pablo Schreiber. In September, Ritchson features alongside Owen Wilson in the action comedy Runner, which follows him as a former soldier tasked with making a special delivery while on the run from mercenaries. Ritchson is set to end the year with a new Christmas film alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in Prime Video’s The Man with the Bag, heading straight to streaming on Dec. 2.
