Clint Eastwood is Reportedly Planning To Direct JUROR #2, Which Might Be His Final Film — GeekTyrant
Apr 4, 2023
Clint Eastwood is reportedly looking to direct a new film titled Juror #2 and it’s being billed as his final movie. Eastwood has had such an incredible filmmaking career over the past several decades. Not only has he appeared in 72 films, but he also directed 39 of them. He’s spent the past 50 years developing films at Warner Bros., and at 92 years old, he’s ready to make one more movie before he retires. The story for his new film is said to follow “a juror on a murder trial who realizes that he may have caused the victim’s death and must grapple with the dilemma of whether to manipulate the jury to save himself, or reveal the truth and turn himself in.”That sounds like a fascinating story and it will be a great project for Eastwood to take on. Even though this project is being billed as Eastwood’s last movie, insiders say “there’s still a small chance that Eastwood decides to tackle another feature after Juror #2.” But, with the filmmaker approaching the age of 93, there’s a good chance that Eastwood will retire. The fact that he is still making movies though, in his 90s, is freakin’ amazing! The project is still in early development and he hasn’t even started casting it yet. But, a source says that Eastwood is eyeing a young Hollywood star for the lead role. “This young star also happens to be starring as the lead in a big film releasing within the next few months per our knowledge.” No details have been made, though. Juror #2 will be Eastwood’s 40th movie, which is quite an awesome cinematic legacy. When previously talking about Eastwood’s last film, Cry Macho, which bombed at the box office, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav grilled in-house executives on the making of that film, saying: “We don’t owe anyone any favors.” It now seems that Zaslav has changed his tune on Eastwood, and he’s eager to get his final film made at Warner Bros.Source: Discussing Film
