The DROP+EPOS H3X Gaming Headset Offers Strong Performance for a Fine Price — GeekTyrant
Apr 13, 2023
When gaming for long hours, players are stuck in the same spot, using the same equipment for a long time, barely getting up to even get a snack (that is me basically every Saturday night). When these kinds of nights happen so often, players can enjoy a long night of gaming a lot more when their equipment is comfortable, sturdy, and functions nicely. The EPOS H3X gaming headset made by DROP may not hit the highest marks in each category, but the friendlier price point and reliable simplicity make it a good competitor in the gaming headset battlefield. The EPOX H3X sounds pretty clear and has a lot of depth in its wrapped headset. The sound quality, which is pretty much the most important part of the headset, is very good. The difference between the lows and highs is kind on the ears while still thrilling in any game. I wish there was a bit more bass overall, but for the price point, it is quite acceptable.Along with the output of sound, a gaming headset needs to have a quality mic for friends to be able to hear your yells over the blare of shotguns and grenades. The mic quality is about as clear as any cell phone from the last two or three years. The quality is very steady and good, but the ability to pick up subtle sounds or a quieter user is a bit off, so just make sure to not mumble a bunch when in a firefight.
