The fan-favorite Star Tours attraction at Disney theme parks is about to get a big update! Lucasfilm announced at Star Wars Celebration that three new Star Wars locations will be added to the ride and they will bring new stories, characters, and adventures to the experience! The plan is to incorporate these new experiences next year in 2024.Walt Disney Imagineering’s Scott Trowbridge shared in the announcement: “Since it debuted at Disneyland in 1987 as the first Star Wars attraction in a Disney park, Star Tours has traveled to new places as this galaxy of stories expanded. We’re looking forward to continuing that tradition next year with all new adventures … but I can’t reveal just where we’re going yet – or those we may meet along the way – because … well … some surprises are best experienced as part of the upcoming Star Wars content also announced this weekend. Here’s hoping C-3PO’s piloting skills have improved!”While they aren’t sharing any details, I confidently speculate that one, if not all of the new locations, will be tied to The Mandalorian, since that’s the Star Wars project that the fans are loving right now! That seems to make the most sense to me, but we’ll see!
