“Andor” has packed up and moved on after the season finale aired recently. That means there’s a new void that needs to be filled by fresh “Star Wars” content on Disney+. And you know Lucasfilm is always there with another hit of “Star Wars” goodness to keep the diehards satisfied. But for now, they’re going to have to be okay with some animation, as the next project up to bat is “The Bad Batch” Season 2.

As seen in the new trailer for “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” Season 2, the series picks up well after the end of Season 1 and follows the continuing adventures of the title crew. As you might expect from a “Star Wars” series, there are new and familiar faces, more planets, more action, and all the lore that folks come to embrace with the animated side of the galaxy far, far away.
Here’s the synopsis for Season 2:
When the new season opens, months have passed since the events on Kamino, and the Bad Batch continue their journey navigating the Empire after the fall of the Republic. They will cross paths with friends and foes, both new and familiar, as they take on a variety of thrilling mercenary missions that will take them to unexpected and dangerous new places.
The voice cast for ‘The Bad Batch’ includes Dee Bradley Baker, Michelle Ang, Rhea Perlman, Noshir Dalal, and Wanda Sykes. Fans of “Star Wars” are already well aware of this, but the animated series is under the watchful eye of producer Dave Filoni, who is the man behind most every “Star Wars” animated series. Jennifer Corbett serves as head writer and Matt Michnovetz is the story editor.
“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” Season 2 debuts on Disney+ on January 4. You can watch the new trailer below:
