Charlie Wants To Profess His Love In Netflix’s Teen Romance

May 13, 2024

It’s odd to see Netflix start marketing a TV series months in advance. Most of the time, you just get a trailer several weeks before the series debuts. Well, this goes to show you how much confidence the streamer has in “Heartstopper,” as it has just released a teaser for Season 3 of the series, which isn’t even going to debut for another five months.

As seen in the teaser, which is just a quick scene from the series, Charlie is frantic about the idea of saying “I love you” to his partner, Nick. While it doesn’t give much away about the new season, the scene does show why “Heartstopper” is beloved by fans. It’s a show that revels in its own cuteness, offering a slice-of-life story that is just plain adorable. There’s no supernatural angle. There’s no demons the kids have to fight. This is just a cute love story.
The series stars Kit Connor, Joe Locke, William Gao, Yasmin Finney, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Tobie Donovan, Jenny Walser, Rhea Norwood, and Leila Khan. “Heartstopper” is created and written by Alice Oseman, with Andy Newbery directing.
“Heartstopper” Season 3 is set to debut on Netflix on October 3. You can watch the teaser below.
Here’s the synopsis for Season 3:
Charlie would like to tell Nick that he loves him. Nick also has something important to say to Charlie. As the summer holiday ends and the months race on, the friends begin to realise that the school year will come with both its joys and its challenges. As they learn more about each other and their relationships, plan social events and parties and start thinking about university choices, everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn’t go to plan.
