Deleted Marvel Post Seems To Reveal New Title For Upcoming ‘Agatha’ Series

May 13, 2024

It’s been recently reported that Marvel Studios is going after a leaker on social media by trying to get Meta to give personal information about an anonymous account. They’re mad that this person is seemingly sharing copyrighted information early. But what about when Marvel Studios does it on its own? That seems to be the case with a recently deleted Twitter/X post about the forthcoming ‘Agatha’ TV series.

Earlier today, Marvel Studios’ official Twitter profile shared an image of a new logo for the upcoming ‘Agatha’ series that has been in the works for literal years now. A new logo isn’t very interesting by itself, so what made this noteworthy is the logo seemingly spoiling a new title for the series. As if that wasn’t weird enough, Marvel went ahead and quickly deleted the post. But we know nothing is gone forever online.
So, what’s the new title? Well, if the post is correct, it’s “Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe.”
Yes, that’s a pun based on the classic C.S. Lewis ‘Narnia’ book, “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.” It seems a bit too silly to be a new title for ‘Agatha,’ but this wouldn’t be the first time the series has changed its title.

Over the years, the title has gone from “Agatha: House of Harkness” to “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” to “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.” So, would it be crazy to think a new title is in the works? Not at all. But if it is ‘The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe,’ you have to wonder if the cutesy nature of the title is worth it? Let’s be honest here, it’s not a good title of a TV series that desperately needs to do well.
But if it’s not a title change, then what could it be? How about the title of an episode? Perhaps all of these title changes are going to play in the meta aspect of the series. Maybe each one is actually the title of an episode? That’s pure speculation, but who knows?
We don’t have a release date yet for the ‘Agatha’ TV series, but it’s expected sometime before the end of 2024, most likely in the fall.
