The thrilling conclusion of
Chaos Theory
leaves fans eager to see how the Nublar Five react to a surprising revelation.
With the first series airing on Netflix back in September 2020, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous successfully transformed the live-action science fiction Jurassic Park franchise into a palatable animated series for the younger audience. Revolving around six teenage campers stranded on the infamous Isla Nublar just as many dinosaurs break free of their habitats, the action-adventure animated adaptation ran for five seasons and provided many moments that called back to the original ’90s movies.
The ever-evolving main cast of characters, Darius Bowman, Kenji Kon, Ben Pincus, Yasmina “Yaz” Fadoul, Sammy Gutierrez, and Brooklynn, always seem to be evolving from their original personalities. The series seems to have a healthy balance between the more lighthearted moments and the sequences where various dinosaurs are inches away from devouring them alive.
Taking place between Fallen Kingdom and Dominion, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory offers a look into our main characters seven years after the events of the first series. For starters, Yasmina and Sammy no longer live together, a mysterious force is hunting down The Nublar Five, and Brooklynn is presumably dead from an attack by a crazed allosaurus. These traumatic events within Chaos Theory have helped this show break into Netflix’s top 10 TV shows for its premiere week. Let’s be honest, though – as much as the show hits us over the head with the idea that Brooklynn is dead – is she really gone? Let’s take a look.
The Smuggled Dinosaur Conspiracy in Chaos Theory
At the end of Camp Cretaceous, The Nublar Six seemed to be going their separate ways. However, they all remain friends, as Ben is enjoying the summer by hanging out with Bumpy on Mantah Corp Island, Yasmina and Sammy decide to live together after becoming a couple, and Kenji is adopted by the Bowmans, so he is close with Darius.
Brooklynn is the only one still investigating all the strange happenings in Dark Jurassic. In Episode 8, it is revealed that when Darius and Kenji find her cell phone at her apartment, they both come to the conclusion that she was investigating a secret trade that involved a Baryonyx dinosaur, a mysterious dealer called the Broker, and a regional district manager of the DPW named Dudley Cabrera.

After Darius, Kenji, and the rest of the group reunite at the docks, they find out that the DPW is actually sending captured dinosaurs to different parts of the world. They also have a run-in with the trainer and her trio of lethal raptors. Meanwhile, the suspenseful cat-and-mouse chase occurs, and Ben does all he can to protect Bumpy, whom he thinks is sick. After fending off both guards from the warehouse and the trained dinosaurs, the five teenagers realize that she was actually pregnant after laying an egg. The celebration doesn’t last long, though, as Cabrera corners them all with a cattle prod.
Brooklynn Survived in the Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Finale
He admits to sending a predator to scare off Brooklyn when her fatal incident occurs, but he also acts out of sorts after hearing that she is dead. He says that all he’s doing is smuggling dinosaurs for some larger operation and doesn’t want anybody ruining that plan. They’re about to be killed, but Mateo (from the seventh episode) shows up and makes a last-minute save.
This inadvertently lets many dinosaurs out of their pods, including Big Eatie, a Tyrannosaurus Rex, and the half-blind Allosaurus that attacked Brooklynn. Much to the trainer’s dismay, the two heavyweight prehistoric creatures defend well against the smaller and faster dinos, who all scurry back to the stunted, scary woman – one of them looks to be near death. Through all the chaos and confusion, the police show up to see what is happening, and Mateo heads off to give them proper guidance regarding the situation. This dinosaur brawl is the best way to end the first season of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory.
Related The Next Jurassic Park Movie Needs to Embrace Horror If the seventh Jurassic Park movie is going to fix the mistakes of Jurassic World, it needs to go back to basics and embrace the horror of the series.
But wait, we’re not done yet. The Nublar Five creep onto the only cargo ship that seems to be leaving the dock and will continue to learn more about The Broker and the conspiracy involving the captured dinosaurs. Meanwhile, back in the forest where the DPW is constantly scouting, Ronnie (Darius’ old co-worker and boss) sees a quickly released article about Dudley Cabrera’s death and forwards the article to an ominous figure whom we only see the hand of at first hitting some keys on a keyboard. When the camera pans out, this is none other than Brooklynn, who has changed her appearance and is missing her left hand (now covered in bandages). Given the bulletin board behind her and the many documents on the desk, she is also investigating the smuggling ring in a secret location.
While the first season of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is now available to watch on Netflix, fans of this show cannot wait to see what the team’s reaction will be when they see that Brooklynn is alive and well. StreamJurassic World: Chaos Theory now on Netflix.
