‘Dutton Ranch’ Trailer Reveals ‘Yellowstone’ Sequel Release Date
Mar 24, 2026
Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton gamble everything on a new life in South Texas in the first trailer for the Yellowstone spin-off, Dutton Ranch. The footage reveals all manner of gun fights, fist fights, explosions, galloping horses, and even mysterious dead bodies, as the first trailer for Dutton Ranch promises a neo-Western even grittier than its smash-hit predecessor. Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser return as the indomitable Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler in Dutton Ranch, which saddles up to take us back into the Yellowstone franchise following the main series’ finale back in 2024. Alongside Reilly and Hauser, the new original drama series enlists an all-star supporting cast that includes Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Ed Harris and Annette Bening.

Following the events of Yellowstone, the series picks up with Beth and Rip as they fight to build a future together far from the ghosts of Yellowstone. Of course, to the surprise of nobody familiar with the tumultuous pair, they soon collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul. Alongside the new footage, Paramount has also revealed that Dutton Ranch, will air on the Paramount Network and Paramount+ from May 15, 2026, at 8pm ET/PT, with two episodes, and then weekly throughout the series’ nine-episode first season. Created by executive producer and showrunner Chad Feehan and based on characters created by executive producers Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, Dutton Ranch is also executive produced by David C. Glasser, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman, Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, and Keith Cox. In addition to executive producing, Voros also directed multiple episodes this season, including the premiere episodes and season finale. Greg Yaitanes, Jessica Lowrey, and Phil Abraham also served as directors this season.
Produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, the nine-episode first season marks the start of a new series in the Yellowstone universe. Teasing what’s to come in this next chapter, Marshals and Dutton Ranch director Greg Yaitanes revealed whether we would see any other familiar faces in the sequel series, saying that they “really felt like they were making Yellowstone Season 6.”
“That’s a really good question. We talked about that a lot because each wanted to be on the other show. I feel like Kayce should go to Dutton Ranch. That feels like something that I would lose my sh*t over as a fan. That would be pretty cool. I just don’t know, in the world of what Marshals is, if Beth coming in would fit into that quite as well. Kayce would just naturally fold into Dutton Ranch because there’s a tonal similarity to the original Yellowstone. A lot of the people involved with Dutton Ranch really felt like they were making Yellowstone Season 6. Marshals is much more genre and guns-forward and those kinds of cool things.”
