While not on the same caliber as October, which was packed with widely anticipated films such as Salem’s Lot, Caddo Lake, and Smile 2, the following month still has its share of thrilling stories to tell. Bhool Bhulaiya 3

Bhool Bhulaiya is a popular Indian horror film franchise that has received critical acclaim since its inception in 2007. Even though a sequel took almost 15 years, Bhool Bhulaiya 2 was among India’s most-watched horror comedies.

Now, Bhool Bhulaiya 3, starring Kartik Aryan and directed by Anees Bazmee, follows Rooh Baba as he returns to explore yet another haunted mansion in Kolkata, where he confronts two vengeful spirits who each claim to be Manjulika. Will Rooh Baba be able to unravel the mystery and set the spirits free before they inflict harm on innocent people? Bhool Bhulaiya 3 will be available in limited theaters across the United States on November 1, 2024.
He Never Left

He Never Left is an upcoming horror thriller directed by James Morris, well-known for his prior works Rite of the Shaman, They Live Inside Us, and 10/31: Part 3. Following its premiere at various film festivals in 2023, the film has received the highest praise among his previous endeavors, with top critics calling it “A paranoia-laced thriller that shows potential from first-time director James Morris.”
In the film, when a federal fugitive and his girlfriend stay at a motel, they hear strange noises from the adjoining room. However, they subsequently discover that it is none other than the notorious “Pale Face” killer who has plagued the community for decades and was thought to have vanished. He Never Left will be available in limited theaters across the United States on Nov. 1 and Paramount+ on Nov. 5.
Heretic

Heretic is an A24 horror thriller written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods that had its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on Sep. 8. Following the screening, the film garnered overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics, earning a Rotten Tomatoes score of 92%, with top reviews describing it as “A fresh, intellectually stimulating, and button-pushing horror film that attempts to go beyond the conventional.”
Starring Hugh Grant as the menacing Mr. Reed, Heretic follows Sister Barnes (Sophie Thatcher) and Sister Paxton (Chloe East), two religious women who attempt to convert a man into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, only to find themselves drawn into a game of cat-and-mouse designed by him. With A24 producing and distributing the film, audiences are looking forward to what should hopefully be an excellent horror film. Heretic will be released in theaters on November 8, 2024.
Infernal

Infernal is perhaps the most bizarre and entertaining film you will see this year, mainly because it is a heavy metal monster film that blends one of the most prominent rock music genres of the 1960s and 1970s with undead horror. The film, written and directed by Eric Mathis, stars Courtney Gains, Troy James, Pancho Moler, and many other well-known actors in roles that will appeal to mainstream audiences.

The filmmaker describes the official synopsis of Infernal as follows:
In a forsaken, dilapidated town, four inseparable friends long for a brighter future and unwittingly forge a sinister bargain with the devil to transform their destinies.
