Jun 30, 2025
With shows like Reacher, Fallout, and The Boys under its belt, Prime Video has a solid batch of originals that audiences continue to love. That doesn’t even take into consideration the platform’s numerous award-winning series, such as The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel or Goliath. Needless to say, the streaming service knows how to make good television, and over the coming weeks, the platform will welcome back some popular favorites and introduce some brand-new ones. Prime Video is also no stranger to entertaining films, which have generally been well-received by both viewers and critics, including Deep Cover and Jackpot!, just to name a few. In keeping with the theme of action-comedies, the streaming service has another flick in the genre slated to arrive in July, which is likely to become an immediate fan favorite. Whether you’re looking for something to binge or enjoy on your next movie night, you’re bound to find something among Prime Video’s forthcoming movies and shows listed below.

With the help of top MI6 Agent Noel Bisset (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), they’ll need to lie low if they want to survive. ‘Ballard’ (Season 1)
Stream on July 9
A spin-off of Prime Video’s original series Bosch, Ballard follows LAPD Detective Renee Ballard (Maggie Q) as she runs a new cold case division with limited resources. Having recently been relegated to the basement, Ballard throws herself into her new role despite its obvious obstacles. As the series progresses, she and her band of misfits draw various connections between numerous cold cases, possibly leading them to a potential serial killer. In the face of it all, they encounter a corrupt LAPD, which they attempt to confront and dismantle from the inside. While the series certainly takes place within the Bosch universe, fans of the original show shouldn’t expect too much face time with their beloved Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver). He’ll definitely make an appearance here and there, but Ballard isn’t necessarily meant to be an extension of its predecessor. Rather, it aims to be a standalone series anyone can enjoy. Ballard Season 1 is set to stream on July 9.

I Was Convinced Jensen Ackles’ New Crime Drama Might Be the Next ‘Reacher.’ I Couldn’t Be More Wrong
‘Countdown’ is Prime Video’s latest crime drama, and while it’s a decent enough show, it’s not poised to be the next big hit.
Unfortunately, what should have been relief for the community and the victims’ families only prompted more questions about why such a terrible crime targeted these four kids. Arguably one of the most high-profile stories in recent years, the Idaho murders captured the country’s attention and sparked their imagination and paranoia in a way that hasn’t been seen in a long time. One Night in Idaho: The College Murders is streaming on July 11.
‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ (Season 3)
Stream on July 16
A coming-of-age romantic drama, The Summer I Turned Pretty is finally returning for its third and final season after that two-year hiatus. The show follows Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung), who grew up spending every summer with her family at her mother’s best friend’s home in Cousins Beach, Massachusetts. As the only girl among all the children, she always felt left out. However, one summer changes everything when she “turns pretty” and garners the attention of Conrad (Christopher Briney), her childhood crush. As they grow up, first loves fade, and Belly finds the person she believes is her last love, Conrad’s brother, Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). As the series enters its third season, the pair decide they want to get married. Unfortunately, their mothers feel they’re far too young, and Conrad is beginning to realize he might still love Belly. When it’s all said and done, life is too short to not spend it with the person you love. The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 is streaming on July 16.
