Hasbro has just announced new figures that celebrate two beloved aspects of the Star Wars franchise: Anakin Skywalker and the Clone Wars. Anakin has since become one of Star Wars’ best characters in the years following the release of the prequel Star Wars trilogy, which was initially the center of extreme criticism from fans. The animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV show, however, began to transform the way audiences saw those movies. By focusing on the clone troopers and their Jedi generals, the Clone Wars era quickly becomes one of Star Wars’ best – and Hasbro is celebrating that.

Hasbro is making two incredible additions to two of its well-known collections, the Black Series and the Vintage Collection. The former will be adding a set with a Phase I Clone Trooper and a Super Battle Droid, both of whom are representations of the fighting forces at the heart of the Clone Wars’ earliest battles. Meanwhile, the Vintage Collection will be releasing a 3-pack centered on Anakin Skywalker, celebrating the man who would one day become Darth Vader. Take a closer look at both sets below.

The Black Series Phase I Clone Trooper and Super Battle Droid set is a perfect way to celebrate the Clone Wars era. The clone trooper has a removable helmet that unveils the cloned face of Jango Fett, the model for the Galactic Republic’s clone army, and includes two different blasters to more accurately represent the variety of weapons that were at the clone troopers’ disposal. As a far superior option to droids, the clones are known for being both resilient and loyal, often laying down their lives for their brothers, their Jedi generals, and the Republic as a whole.

The super battle droid, oftentimes referred to as an SBD, is a superior model to the B-1 battle droids, even though they were no true match for the clone army. The Vintage Collection Anakin Skywalker 3-Pack is a perfect tribute to one of the franchise’s most beloved characters, taking fans through three crucial eras in his life. The first focuses on Anakin’s look during the Clone Wars, as seen in The Clone Wars, with his armor and a cape that made even his more reckless style of fighting look regal. The next is inspired by Anakin’s look in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, including Anakin’s iconic scar, black robes, and, of course, his shoulder-length hair.

Perhaps the most unique part of this set, however, is its Darth Vader (Redeemed), taking inspiration from Vader at the end of Return of the Jedi. This includes a removable Force lightning FX to recreate the moment when Vader sacrificed his life for his son’s and the greater galaxy, ultimately choosing the good that was left in him rather than continuing to succumb to the darkness that had overcome him for so long.
