Robert Salerno has spent his life producing some of the best films of the 21st century (21 Grams, A Single Man, We Need to Talk About Kevin, Smile, I’m Thinking of Ending Things), but now steps into the director’s chair with Here After, a film as supernatural as it is emotional. He discusses the Italian production (and the sequel to Smile) in this MovieWeb interview. Here After is in theaters Sep. 13, 2024 from MUBI and Paramount.
The main character of Here After, Claire, is overjoyed when her daughter, Robin, is miraculously revived after a fatal accident. However, her relief soon turns to dread as she starts to suspect that something dark has followed Robin back from the brink of death.
