Jennifer Lawrence Reportedly Gives Birth To Second Baby

If you’ve been online at all in the past week, you probably saw reports that Jennifer Lawrence and her husband Cooke Maroney recently welcomed their second child. (Their first, Cy, arrived in 2022.)

Jennifer is, somewhat infamously, one of our most beloved outspoken celebrities at this point — but when it comes to family matters, she plays things a little closer to the vest, so it’s understandable that details were scarce when the news initially emerged.

Now, there’s a new report from People that sheds some new light into how Jennifer and her growing family are doing after welcoming their latest addition.

“Her first child was born in Los Angeles. She recently gave birth to her second child in N.Y.C. She’s doing well,” a source told the publication. “She was very excited about the pregnancy. She thought it was the perfect timing. She was very active and felt good.”

“She’s a fun mom and loves outings with her son. She’s also super protective. She wants her children to have as much privacy as possible.”

Those last two sentences are key, because it really does seem like this is pretty much the most of what we’re gonna get when it comes to an update on her current family situation. And that is, of course, just fine — as Jenna Maroney once said, “Respect celebrity privacy.”

BuzzFeed has reached out to Jennifer’s reps in case they have further comment on any of this, and we’ll let you know if we hear anything back.
