Jeremy Renner’s New Docuseries Rennervations: Everything We Know
Apr 9, 2023
Though he is certainly most recognized as his character Hawkeye in the MCU, Jeremy Renner has had a long and successful acting career before joining the Avengers. Along with two Oscar nominations, one for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for Hurt Locker (2008) and one for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for The Town (2010), he is also a singer-songwriter, drummer, keyboardist, and guitarist that has not only performed on many film soundtracks but also has released his own extended play titled The Medicine in 2020.
While the fame he has garnered through his career is impressive, to say the least, Renner has also put an incredible amount of his time and effort into his real estate hustle with his business partner, Kristoffer Winters, where they have purchased, renovated, and sold homes in Southern California together since the early 2000s. He even stated that early in his acting career, he made more money flipping houses than with the movies he was in. This humble beginning was likely the first building block that led him to create and star in his new docuseries show, Rennervations, set to release on Disney+ next month. Here is everything we know so far about Jeremy Renner’s next adventure.
A Long Time Coming
Broken Road Productions
Many people, including Renner fans, were probably unaware of the actor’s background in the real estate world or the fact that he used to build and restore vehicles for communities and people in need. When speaking about his new show and how the idea came to light, Renner said, “I’ve been on this journey for many years, and I started in my community by building vehicles for people in need. But a few years ago, I thought, ‘How can I plus this up and create a bigger impact on a whole community?’ And that’s what this show does.” He took his background in design and building and decided to show the world how to use those skills in a charitable way. He and his team consisting of his best friend and business partner, Rory Millikin, and an expert build crew, travel to various parts of the world to identify and buy decommissioned vehicles that they plan and refurbish into something useful for the communities in that area.

With each of the four locations visited in this docuseries, Renner and his crew team up with different organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, The BASE Chicago, Uva Jagriti Sansthan, and Casa Hogar of Cabo San Lucas, in order to determine what would be needed by and have the most impact for those communities. Whether it’s a mobile music studio, a mobile water treatment facility, a mobile recreation center, or a mobile dance studio, Renner and his team seem to stop at nothing to provide each of these locations with the love and understanding that comes with providing people something that they could not easily get on their own.
With a Little Help from His Friends

It’s no secret that an accident landed Jeremy Renner in critical condition on New Year’s Day. While using his snowplow to clear roads after a particularly bad storm, he had to step in to save his nephew, which resulted in him getting crushed by the over 14,000-pound vehicle. Though he is recovering steadily, the initial accident did net him over 30 broken bones, blunt chest trauma, and orthopedic injuries. He has used his recovery time to not only be with his friends and family, aiding in said recovery, but he has also taken to social media to keep his fans up to date on his status and keep his upcoming projects rolling.

Rennervations wrapped filming well before his fateful accident in January, but Renner has said that the release of this show has been a massive positive force in his recovery. While filming, he not only had to support and partner with his best friend, but he also pulled in a number of other celebrity friends to help him in his endeavors, including actor Anthony Mackie (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), actor Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical), actor-producer Anil Kapoor (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol) and singer-songwriter Sebastián Yatra (Encanto). Each of his celebrity friends joins Renner to deliver the finished vehicles and creative spaces to the organizations within the local communities.
The four-part docuseries will be released for streaming on Disney+ on Apr. 12. All four episodes will drop on the same date, so feel free to binge Jeremy Renner in one of his true elements, using his passion to help those less fortunate than himself. In the meantime, you can check out the trailer for the show below.
