Luke Bracey Stars in Super Intense Trailer for Thriller MERCY ROAD Which All Takes Place in a Truck — GeekTyrant

Sep 27, 2023

A trailer has been released for the intense thriller Mercy Road, directed by filmmaker John Curran from a script co-written by Curran, Jesse Heffring, and Christopher Lee Pelletier. The film stars Luke Bracey as a man who commits an impulsive and vicious crime. In this ultimate journey to redemption, he soon learns just how far he is willing to go to save his child. The cast also includes Huw Higginson, Susie Porter, Alex Malone, Martha Kate Morgan, and Toby Jones. The film’s synopsis reads:”Pushed to the limit and on the edge of sanity, single father Tom learns just how far he must go to protect what matters most to him. His daughter Ruby has been abducted, and to save her, he must carry out a series of tasks as instructed by a disembodied, psychopathic voice on the other side of a phone call. Battling against near-impossible odds, Tom realises that the true ransom demanded of him is a piece of his own soul.”This looks like an edge-of-your-set movie that will keep us guessing. It reminds me of the 2013 movie Locke, starring Tom Hardy, which also takes place in a vehicle, centered on one man and a series of phone calls that alter his future. I think this will also take us on a wild ride. Check out the trailer and poster for the film below, and watch Mercy Road in select theaters on August 24th, opening wide later this year.
