Melanie Griffith & Antonio Banderas’ Daughter Stella Banderas Engaged

Aug 21, 2024

Stella Banderas has the sweetest love story—now and then.

The only child of Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas—who divorced in 2014 after 18 years of marriage—is officially engaged to her childhood sweetheart Alex Gruszynski

As Stella, 27, wrote on Instagram Aug. 19 alongside several photos of her longtime partner, “I get to hang out with my favorite person on earth forever!!!!!!!!”

In the thumbnail of her post, Stella flashes her gold-banded diamond ring with her fiancé smiling on a picnic blanket behind her hand. Later on in the carousel, Stella proves their journey has already been one for a lifetime, as their moments together date all the way back to the couple’s middle school and toddler days—up to sneaking kisses on the New York subway as adults.

Naturally, Stella’s mom couldn’t contain her excitement either.

“I love you both sooooo much,” the Working Girl actress wrote in a comment under her daughter’s post. “Congratulations again!!!”

Later, Melanie—who also shares kids Jesse Johnson and Dakota Johnson with ex Don Johnson, and son Alexander Bauer with ex Steven Bauer—shared her own point-of-view on her youngest child’s romance.
