Miles Morales Actor Addresses What Live-Action Marvel Movie Cameo He Wants For Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse
Dec 4, 2024
Miles Morales star Shameik Moore reveals the live-action Marvel character he would like to see appear in Sony’s Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Sony’s animated Spider-Verse movies center around the infinite possibilities of the Marvel multiverse, featuring Spider-People from different Spider-Verse timelines and acknowledging the existence of universes like the MCU, Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, and the Amazing Spider-Man franchise.
Speaking to Screen Rant at FAN EXPO San Francisco 2024, Spider-Verse’s Miles Morales actor Shameik Moore shares his interest in seeing Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock / Venom make a live-action cameo in the animated Spider-Verse franchise. Screen Rant is the media partner for FAN EXPO San Francisco, where Marvel stars such as Venom: The Last Dance’s Andy Serkis have discussed recent and upcoming projects. Read Shameik Moore’s comments below:
Screen Rant:
Speaking of different universes, we got to see Donald Glover’s Prowler and Mrs. Chen from Venom in their live-action form in
Beyond The Spider-Verse
. Is there anybody else you’d like to see appear in the next Spider-Man film in their physical live-action form?
Shameik Moore:
Someone else in their physical live action form? I like Tom [Hardy] as Venom.
Screen Rant:
Maybe it won’t be his last dance. Maybe we can keep going back for Spider-Verse 3.
Shameik Moore:
Totally.
Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse Will Likely Raise The Bar For Multiversal Cameos
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse have pushed the boundaries in terms of cameos, as they have been the only movies to feature a crossover between live-action and animated characters. Not only that, but Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse also went one step ahead and acknowledged the existence of all live-action Spider-Men, Doctor Strange, Venom’s Mrs. Chen, and a universe where Donald Glover’s Aaron Davis became the Prowler — the latter’s villain turned was only teased in the MCU’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse’s Plot And Release Date Makes It Likely To Feature More Multiversal Cameos
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will probably push the boundaries even further, not only because it will be the last installment in Sony’s Spider-Verse trilogy, but also because it will likely be released close to multiversal MCU movies like Phase 7’s Avengers: Secret Wars. Whatever the Avengers do in Avengers: Secret Wars, its consequences could cause major ripples in the Spider-Verse. As a result, more live-action characters could go through the Spider-Society’s headquarters in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

Even if Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse doesn’t acknowledge the events of Avengers: Secret Wars or other multiversal MCU movies, its plot could lead more live-action characters to meet Miguel O’Hara and Miles Morales. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse teases the end of the Spider-Society due to some of its members’ disagreement with Spider-Man 2099’s strict approach to timeline preservation. In Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, Miguel O’Hara’s Spider-Society could reform and find better ways to prevent multiversal collapse, visiting timelines like Sony’s Spider-Man Universe in the process.
