Has Netflix just confirmed Wednesday Season 2? It would certainly seem so if this latest tease is anything to go by. Released via social media, the short clip finds Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams sat at her trusty typewriter and spelling out the words “The End” before adding a telling question mark. Check out the Wednesday tease below.
Released in November last year, Wednesday is led by Scream and X star Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams. The series explores the teenage years of the Addams Family sibling and how she adapts to her new high school, Nevermore Academy. The first season of Wednesday follows Wednesday Addams as she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a killing spree and solve the mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago.

Wednesday has amassed a stellar cast alongside Ortega, and stars Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, George Burcea as Lurch, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, and Victor Dorobantu as Thing. The likes of Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan, Georgie Farmer, Hunter Doohan, Georgie Farmer, Moosa Mostafa, Gwendoline Christie, and Christina Ricci make up the rest of the supporting cast.
The first series has been a major hit for the streaming platform, largely thanks to the central performance from Ortega, who has since been nominated for a Golden Globe. Met with glowing reviews from both critics and audiences alike, Wednesday now stands as having the second most-streamed debut of all time on Netflix, behind fantasy series The Witcher, and currently holds the record of most hours viewed in a week for an English-language Netflix series.
Fans have been left calling out for a second season ever since, and it looks like those calls have just been answered.

Wednesday Creators Have Hinted at What We Might See in Season 2
Netflix
While details of the direction of a second season remain largely unknown, Wednesday creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar hinted that it would more heavily involve the rest of The Addams Family. “We felt like we just touched the surface with those characters and the actors are so amazing in those roles,” Millar teased. “Catherine is, I think, an iconic Morticia. The relationship between Wednesday and Morticia is also essential to the show, and the idea that Wednesday is trying to forge her own path outside the family is important. [We] definitely want to feature the family as we did this season in a couple of episodes if we were to get a second season.”
Of course, Wednesday Season 2 would continue to build on the mismatched, heart-warming friendship between Wednesday and Enid. “We wanna sort of explore and sort of complicate all of those relationships going forward. The school was closed when they left, which gave us the most possibilities for season two, and I think that’s something that we’re excited to explore,” Gough explained. “For us, the show also is really about this female friendship, with Wednesday and Enid really being at the center of that. The fact that they really connected with audiences, it has been really gratifying. So, we’re excited to explore now that Wednesday’s dipped her toe into the friendship pool, what’s that gonna look like? It’s like, she hugged. That was her big arc for the season, right? So now, we do that.”
The first season of Wednesday is available to stream now on Netflix.

This Pointless Character Death Fails To Do Eddie Justice
Coming off of last week's phenomenal episode, and with the promise of an episode centered on my favorite character this week, my expectations were sky-high high for 9-1-1's latest episode. Sadly, though, Season 9, Episode 5, "Día de los Muertos"…

Sean Baker Collaborator Shin Ching-Tsou’s Debut Is An Honest, Darling Challenge Of Patriarchal Norms
There's an incandescent sweetness to Left-Handed Girl, the solo directorial debut from long-time Sean Baker collaborator Shin Ching-Tsou. Co-written and edited by him, the film is nonetheless distinctively Ching-Tsou's, a romantically funny rebuke of patriarchal conventions and Taiwanese traditionalism. Centering…

The Twits Review: Chaotic, Overstuffed, and Uneven
Phil Johnston’s The Twits is an animated musical comedy that should, in theory, have been a perfect playground for anarchic imagination. Roald Dahl’s 1980 novel was a lean, nasty little morality tale about cruelty and comeuppance — a darkly funny…
