Netflix

While this quick success would have certainly helped The Eternaut’s chances of avoiding Netflix’s merciless cancelation axe, it wasn’t even necessary, as The Eternaut Season 2, which will conclude the series, is already in the works. Francisco ‘Paco’ Ramos, head of Netflix’s Latin American programming, has now confirmed that The Eternaut Season 2 is happening, with producer Matías Mosteirin revealing that it will consist of eight episodes.

“Season 2 is going to be very important. It’s going to dig into a lot of sci-fi concepts that were just pointed out in Season 1, and they are going to be fully blown.” Mosteirin picks up the thread: “We believe that we will manage to close the whole story in a beautiful way, with probably eight more episodes.”

The Eternaut Season 1 is now streaming on Netflix, and you can check out the official synopsis for The Eternaut below.
