‘s Exclusive 2025 Movie Preview. Keep an eye out for the full feature next week!

Nobody 2 gets a new image, previewing Bob Odenkirk’s action-packed return as Hutch Mansell, this time with some old school weaponry. Released in 2021, the first Nobody was a surprise hit, following Hutch, a seemingly ordinary family man, as he embraces his past as an assassin following a home invasion. Director Timo Tjahjanto takes over from Ilya Naishuller to helm the sequel, which features the return of Connie Nielsen and Christopher Lloyd, with Sharon Stone set to play the new villain.

ScreenRant now unveils a new image from Nobody 2, featuring Odenkirk’s Hutch holding a Thompson submachine gun. Hutch sports a sly smirk as he looks at a big pile of ammo and more guns, and the image teases that he’s gearing up for a major action sequence. The full context of the image is not yet clear, but it is clear that Hutch won’t have lost his edge in the upcoming sequel. Check out the new Nobody 2 image below:

What’s Next For Hutch Mansell In Nobody 2?
How The First Film Sets Up Bob Odenkirk’s Next Outing

The end of the first Nobody sees Hutch, David (Lloyd), and Harry (RZA) defeating a horde of Russian mobsters before Hutch is taken into custody. He’s promptly released after a mysterious phone call, however, and another phone call as Hutch is buying a new house suggests he hasn’t left his assassin lifestyle behind. There’s an additional tease in a mid-credits scene that shows David and Harry, heavily armed, embarking on some kind of mysterious mission. It’s entirely possible that Nobody 2 will pick up right where the first movie left off.

While plot specifics haven’t been revealed just yet, one thing that Nobody 2 is sure to feature is lots of action. Tjahjanto previously directed movies like The Night Comes for Us (2018) and The Shadow Strays (2024), both of which feature brutal action in a similar vein to The Raid (2011). With Odenkirk having done lots of training to prepare for the role, Tjahjanto behind the camera, and the latest image promising some good, old-fashioned shootouts, Nobody 2 could end up being even more action-packed than the first movie.

How Nobody 2 Differs From The Original
Timo Tjahjanto Has Promised Some Changes

Though the Nobody reviews were positive from critics and the movie clearly struck a chord, Tjahjanto has teased that he’s shaken things up in the sequel. In an interview with Empire, the director said that the follow-up gets rid of “the whole drab, gloomy factory/warehouse feel of the first film,” with the sequel instead feeling “much more summery and colourful.”

According to the director, Stone’s villain is ”
an alpha female
” and ”
completely batsh*t crazy
.”

As for Stone’s villain, Lendina, Tjahjanto, in the same Empire interview, offered up an exciting tease promising a different kind of antagonist. According to the director, Stone’s villain is “an alpha female” and “completely batsh*t crazy.” Though the first film set a high bar, Nobody 2 is shaping up to be an exciting mix of what made the first movie work so well with some promising upgrades.
