‘Nosferatu,’ ‘Wicked,’ And ‘Shōgun’ Among 2025 CDG Awards Winners

Guild award season is upon us! The 2025 Costume Designer Guild Awards kicked off the honors for 2025. There were few surprises as “Nosferatu,” “Conclave,” and “Wicked” took the film categories as expected. “Hacks,” “The Masked Singer,” and “Dune: Prophecy” earned key television honors while “Shōgun” went home with two awards.

The Short Form award went to a Verizon ad, “Can’t B Broken: Beyoncé.”
The night also saw Van Smith inducted into the Edith Head Hall of Fame. Jon Waters, who worked with Smith for over three decades on films such as “Serial Mom,” “Female Trouble,” “Hairspray,” and “Cry-Baby,” made the induction. Salvador Perez received the Distinguished Service Award while fashion legend Janelle Monáe earned the organization’s Vanguard Spotlight Award.
