Paramount’s Military Sci-Fi Series With Pablo Schreiber Returns February 8, 2024

Dec 2, 2023

Nearly two years after it debuted on Paramount +, the military science fiction television series “Halo” will return in 2024. As expected—Paramount accidentally revealed the news early when they put all of season one on YouTube—“Halo” season two will return on February 8, 2024.

Inspired by Microsoft’s popular Xbox Game Studios, “Halo” was developed and created by Kyle Killen and Steven Kane. The series follows a 26th-century war between the United Nations Space Command and the Covenant, a theocratic military alliance of several advanced alien races determined to eradicate the human race.
“Halo” stars Pablo Schreiber, a towering genetically engineered supersoldier known as “Master Chief Petty Officer John-117,” and Jen Taylor, as Cortana, with the latter reprising her role from the video game series. In season one, they were joined by Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, Danny Sapani, Bokeem Woodbine, and Natascha McElhone.
Plot details for season two have been under wraps, but executive producer Kiki Wolfkill told Games Radar last year that fan feedback would be incorporated into season two.
“It’s interesting to me to see characters that are resonating or not. I will say, philosophically, [we are] absolutely looking at all of the feedback, good and bad, from each episode,” she explained. “And those are the things that will carry forward as learnings into Season 2, just like all of the learnings we had on Season 1 [that] we get through the course of production, we’ll carry those forward. We will look at everything. We do read everything on Season 1, and we’ll think about how we shape that moving forward.”
Here’s the official synopsis:
They shall be remembered. Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. As humanity’s best hope for winning the war, John-117 discovers his deep connection to a mysterious alien structure that holds the key to humankind’s salvation, or its destruction — the Halo.
The second season of Paramount’s Halo TV show is set to premiere on February 8, 2024. Watch the new teaser trailer below.
