Scott Adkins’ Action Thriller Western ‘Day of Reckoning’ Will Stream Free This Week

Jun 11, 2025

John Wick star and underrated action icon Scott Adkins breaks bad in this year’s western action thriller, which is all set to stream for free later this month. After years upon years of fighting the good fight for gloriously no-nonsense action movies, Adkins is now best recognized for his role as Killa in John Wick: Chapter 4, as well as Accident Man and the Undisputed franchise. Directed by Shaun Silva and written by Travis J. Opgenorth, Day of Reckoning stars Scott Adkins alongside Billy Zane, Zach Roerig, Cara Jade Myers, country singer and actor Trace Adkins, and Travis Hammer. The action western is all set to stream for free (with ads) when it lands on the popular platform Tubi on 13 June, and you can check out the official synopsis for Day of Reckoning below.

‘Day of Reckoning’ Proved to Be a Far Deeper Action Thriller Than Expected

ESX Entertainment/Warner Bros.

Flying under the radar when it was released back in March, the few reviews for Day of Reckoning that have emerged have heaped praise on Adkins, as well as the rest of the cast, while finding the action thriller to be far deeper than they expected. “Day of Reckoning is a modern day homage to the tried-and-true western trope that delves a little deeper and delivers something a little more different than just bullets and bravado,” said John M Jerva of action-flix, with Allison Rose of FlickDirect adding, “What starts off as your typical, mid-west, bank robbery turned standoff at the OK Corral, Day of Reckoning becomes something much deeper and thought provoking.” Scott Adkins has long been one of the best-kept secrets in action, with his role as the scene-stealing head of the German table, Killa, in John Wick: Chapter 4 launching his star upward and finally gaining him attention from wider audiences. The actor and martial artist has plenty of exciting projects on the horizon, including reuniting with his John Wick 4 co-star Marko Zaror in the action thriller Diablo. Adkins has since asked fans a crucial question: “Are you ready for the best martial arts action film of 2025?!!” You can check out details for Diablo below.

El Corvo (Marko Zaror), a psychopathic killer, joins the hunt not for the money, but for his own vendetta against Vicente’s family.
